Episode 3 A New Voice and a Looser Setting

ABOUT THIS EPISODE

*Originally aired August 11, 2020* Here we breakdown this past weekend in NASCAR along with what we’re looking forward to next week with the Daytona RC and how it’s more of just a fan appeal race than worrying about points.

Welcome to the third episode of the Nascar Ho spot podcast. Yeah, Chris, we got Troy Kenny and Mike. Those two are well, Kenny's not new, but you know Mike is new. Today we're going to be here talking about an exciting weekend in both Elkhart Lake and the Irish shows of Michigan posted historical doubleheader weekend for the Cup series that had one manufacture, one team and mostly one driver just dominate the weekend. Let's get into the topics of the weekend. Yeah, sure was an exciting and action packed weekend. So, yeah, they definitely had a lot of I think Michigan was a lot better this year than it has been the past couple of years. Yeah, it definitely these races definitely up last year whatever he had last year in these races overall, I'd say will nas also better last year. We're America was too. Definitely made it interesting. Yeah, all right, so we started the week off last week that Levine family racing was sold the spire it looks like. I don't know if it's official yet, but there'sn't tweets about it and I'm pretty sure that they bought it. They bought Levin a family, racing and pretty much everything that goes with it except like the Gibbs alignes and stuff like that. Yeah, that's a lot of rider to the I'm pretty sure the charter sale was official, and that way also their building. That way they can upgrade their facilities and such. Yeah, they sold everything but the cause. The colors go back to Jg are. Yeah, and then we had we saw this coming from like two years ago. Once a bell started just kicking butt an exfinity and everyone but bell. It's official to the twenty car for two thousand and twenty one. He gets a hundred percent give us equipment and nothing less. Yeah, that'll be a great to see for him. I mean we all we all saw this coming. There's there was no surprise with it. As soon as they announced that Jones wasn't coming back to the twenty, we all knew right away that bell was definitely taken over that twenty car. Yeah, and honestly, as with the question, there's a big there's a group question up. Or would Jones go? Because there's no like obvious choice or like owner. They'll be like, oh, they'll definitely bring one. It's all like different manufacturers, completely different teams that have a big chance right now to pick up a really solid driver that could definitely win a lot of races and maybe contend for something more than just a playoffs and the years coming. Yeah, that'd be nice. Mike Kenny, where do you think, Jones, because I'm could end up going? Um, I'm not. I'd say the obvious is. The two obvious choices are definitely took an as see and in definitely Hendrik. But now that I'm thinking about it, I can't think of their team. But thirty four is not a strong driver. But I think if they were to put John Hunter and are Jones together, I think they could be starting something there. That is true. That's a pick. Yeah, people are forgetting that boy or hasn't made a new contract, as thor has for the following season. So this fourteen is kind of like an open ride right now. Dad, we could see Jones at there's a possibility. If they don't want to rush Briscoe or they don't want to resend boyer, Jones can altill be there. There's a lot of sponsorship. There is no reason. What are you might wear an you think, honestly think he's going to take over the forty three. I think bubb was going to leave Richard Patty and head over the chip. Can See. Yeah, it's definitely if you go. So I'll definitely upgrade the team in a bit. He probably being new sponsors and everything. So, yeah, I definitely made this team being. How Fun to see what happens? Oh, yeah, definitely interesting. Yeah, I think there's good if you look get the hit go on. I think there is a good chance to...

...see Jones either the forty three or the forty eight, because hundred it's just about giving up and I'm trying to get a veteran driver at this point. I mean there's no one really available. Yeah, going out getting the only problem I see with him going to the forty three would be lack of sponsorship, because he really only has what reese's or reese, whichever that is. Yeah, and yeah, all the rest are basically give sponsorships. That's going to stay at that twenty car. Yeah, we don't know if any sponsorships will leave if bubble leaves the team because, let's be very like, most of the sponsors are there because once to forty three and two, it's a bubble wall. I see, it's a lot of like media around them all times. So when he leaves, Oh definitely be a good bosson sponsorship firm rich Patty more sports. Yeah, that could be a negative for them going forward. I mean they're on the right track right now, especially with what bubba mentioned before. Was it before Sunday's race or was it are now as before before? Yeah, so that could be the main thing. To quote from that was he said this new big deal that could be a thing could send us over the top, which I found it be really interesting and we still haven't heard yet what exactly that is. Yeah, certainly will be interesting case. The week started off trucks at Michigan. That was one interesting race. It started out great racing. It was great racing the whole entire time, but there is coution. have to caution. have to caution the end guys kept crashing. We had big ones. Solder crashed from the lead. He's trying to get the lead, trying to get himself up to the playoffs and he spun and dug him a deeper hole. Now into playoffs. It's over a hundred points out now, which is which is really big. It's really surprising. Yeah, I think the trucks have honestly produced some of the best racing at Michigan over the past couple of years, hands down. I mean, yes, it's a caution fest and that's the stuff everyone likes to see as a, you know, common fan perspective. But no, it's really been great to watch the trucks really kind of get that fan of especially as certain tracks when you see the other series go too. Yeah, I'm always pumped for trucks at Michigan. I remember our last season when it was the regular season cut off. It was really good racing, as a lot of lead changes in the end. I've always loved it. It's always great. Never fails to entertain. Yeah, what did you guys think of the truck race? Mike and Kenny? I didn't get to see the end but from what I saw is really fun race to watch. Like. So, I know that ended pretty late, but I unfortunately had to go to a hockey game right towards the end of the race, so I missed the finish. Yeah, when later than a lot of people thought it would so it's understandable. I watched them on my phone and I was over my friends still watched it. Yeah, I was watching on my phone on my trip up to new Hampshon. Yeah, I bet everyone was like when, well, this sneaking race and yeah, ended in a lot of stuff in finger he dominated the races up front all race and up spinning himself off of genres bumper in the end and killing its chances of win, which was crazy. That askred not through the caution there. kind of understandable, though. Even a truck did spin, there's no damage any that they kept going. But yeah, we had a battle of the rookies. I think they're both rookies, battle the rookies in the end, both young stars trying to get their first truck. When and seen Smith on the final lap got by Christian ches. It was great to see Zanes medment. Honestly, GMS is probably my favorite team as a whole in the troch series, just because, like, they all got guys on there seem that you would want to roof for over certain other teams. But it was really good to see him when, I think you bring up that no caution at the end. It was getting really close to the sun. Just not being there. It was basically turning into like the indie cover ray so foken o race. Yeah, the sun was just going away, so I might have been the reason why they ended it. I mean you've seen NASCAR be inconsistent with cautions at the end and that also might have been a a factor of the TV project broadcast kind of being like...

...all right, need to wrap this up. You know how tight masker really tries to be with a broadcasting companies, so that might have been a reason. I thought it was a great race. So, over all, though, definitely, Mike would you think? I thought it was really good racing. A lot of different things, a lot, a lot of surprises, especially with the leader getting wrecked multiple times. Is Good close racing. I do agree with NASCAR for not throwing the caution at the end. Let them race it out. There was nobody that was in harms way and they were cutting a really tight and I don't think they've been able to get another green, white checkered and, to be honest, if they would have called a caution, yeah, couldn't close there. Yeah, and then after that we had the next day the exfinity series. Nope, no, yeah, it was the next day. Yeah, yeah, it's next day. Is that like? Yeah, the exfinity series went up to Cart Lake and race that Road America. Yeah, sure, was crazy. We made it like five laughs. And then there is rain and then there's lightning and then there is an hour and a half of lag, which right when they're about, right when they're getting the car's ready to go again, lightning shark the end. Yeah, it got it got annoying and born and everything, but got back racing and at the not disappoint racing in the rain. Those rain tires. Oh Man, just watching Nascar race in the rain. What a what a slight to see. Like. We don't get to see that that often, so when it does happen the road courses is it's amazing. Huh. Hey, we all know they go on the road course this weekend. Good chance for rain there? Yeah, they're supposed to be rain at daytone on this weekend. Like hopefully, hopefully, top some one of them. I didn't really watch too much of it. I seen the end of it. It looks pretty interesting. I watched from when all guy erect but all I think Alvin Dinger really did have the car to beat and he just couldn't execute in time. I don't Know Day all the cautions, stuff like that. That came out kind of killed on bingers rhythm. He was one of the fastest. Definitely they didn't have time, enough time, to be able to go through the field and be able to like cats leader like he needed. He needed a lot more time than he got, especially with the cautions and the amount of strategy that everyone had. We saw like Josh Bilicky and Alex debay leading laps and batting for the Lada Front. It kind of I kind of it's slowed them up. It messed up his day and that let Austin cindried just dominate. He proves again how amazing of a road course riker recing that guy is. We're gonna whenever we go to the road course of the explinity series, you always got to expect Allen Dinger and Syndric to be up there, because don't those guys just know how to run road courses? I mean there's no one knows you can. You can throw BRISCO in there. Sometimes obviously result with indeed, but that was due to rough racing. But besides those top three, it'd be a surprise to see someone else, maybe all guy or if he gets the right strategy. Besides that, you got to expect those three to be up. Yeah, they the difference they have. They can run it smooth they can run fast, but it's a rare seem make a mistake and when they make a mistake you got a pounce on them and sometimes the competitors miss that. Like Briscoe, I'm capitalized on that. But like, I do not see sind making a single mistake all race. Dude. Dude had the strategy down because he was was he he was one of the first guys on. He was the first one that said one P me before they pitted, that he was going to put Intermedias on, and it was our it was pretty good to see that. Yeah, yeah, he had the experience over the field, most of the field at least. Yeah, then we had back to Michigan later in the day for the first race there for the Cup series, and that's just be real perfect. Just dominated there. Yeah, you know, touch the guy. It's two thousand and twenty, as Krbish thinks, the two thousand and twenty and Harvek dominated. Didn't like slip up. Read that he slipped up. Gay Calidof Kislawski...

Saski almost got that Michigan win close. So again, the guy I got kind of wayed another year. Harvard again and that really nice looking Bush apple scheme. He won as an overtime finish. I crashes. Well, yeah, good at my crashes. It was definitely tinning end, especially for Michigan and what the package has. Yeah, all right. What did you guys think of the first race? To put it they definitely produced some phenomenal restarts, including that last one. I thought Blainey was going to give him a run at he needed another lap. I think he could have got up dirt. He had a really strong car also. True, X had a really good restart at the end. Definitely was a lot better than in yours past. For sure. I liked what they had it with the PJ one in in the turns. It definitely gave more options instead of just running it as a bottom feeder. Definitely would like to see Michigan on the trick or on the schedule toys again next year. was really good, in my opinion. Besides, Harvard leading the horriest lout. Yeah, that harbeget Michigan's it's hard get Michigan. That I would be unstoppable. Yeah, I've races for him though. Yeah, we'll go from Harvard. I'm complete opposite. What happened to John Her Nima check in their race? Well, one time he just got a completely spun. I know that, like someone just came up and just cleaned them out. And then the other two times, what has happened? When happened and started off so good after we came back in the past. Yeah, he's hitting F hand one of those summer slumps. Let me see drivers have boments experiencing it? Yeah, a couple, a couple drivers are going through it. It's hurting them and points Bush's going through it. He's he's slow covering, but he he was hitting it before between between Pocono and New Hampshire. He is at a low moment and hopefully this season goes up for him. Kenny, what did you think of the first race? It's pretty good. The definitely the choose come made it a lot more interesting because different drivers got to the front when they were rows back. If they were to run it, they actually we're able to get the lead off of it, like Chase Elliot on that one restart where he started on the inside and moved out probably like what was it like? Six positions or something like that. Yeah, a full fore from fishing the line up on the inside. Yeah, you got the Shoven tail lead. It was just yet really interesting. The choose cone really let the drivers really kind of take control. I was listening to the scanner when I was at work and I remember one of them. There's one guy that I couldn't Tek. It was just on the all scanners channel and you just hear the spotter go one, two, three, six. It guys to the outside, go inside. So it was the great way to see the spotteries and drivers really connect more than being normally would. So yeah, the choose cone really I liked it a lot and it made for some really good strategy and it's a smart move. It helped out bubble walls a lot. We saw him on one of the last three starts heed it inside lane. He was like the second or three, one and inside lane and he had a run. He went for in the middle. Didn't work out with the package he went for, and the choose cone really shows that. Like it gives another opportunity. Three the nice to see. Yeah, definitely stops the drivers from being like, Oh, I restarted on this lane, you know, mess it up whatever, and it's like, well, now got to take plame for yourselfs that out. Yeah, one that chooses it. Yeah, used to cut a lot of a lot of drivers races starting on that lane and they couldn't help it. They couldn't, like you can help starting on the inside that point. But now they can, they have the option and they can improve their position easily. Yeah, it's great to see that. I honestly like it. I wasn't. I wasn't sure what to expect with when they originally used it at Bristol, but then when they said they're using it for this weekend and any checks, we got super speed rights and road courses it all. It definitely gave...

...her some exciting restarts to see guys that maybe normally want to be up there all of a sudden, oh, they're starting like seventh on the restart or something like that, and you just see him try to make moves and, like you said with Bubba, I mean what, shut up to fourth and then drop back immediately in the turn because of the package. Yeah, and then, so you know, Harvard dominates race one. We kind a day to we got ARCO series running at noon and brow homes looks like he was on his way to another win until the second race break and yeah, yeah, definitely heard them. And then Brian the hair just came in there. Riley rops do winning a race. I finally down. It took like fifty one start and two wins. It's it's tople of US stuff that's rather hurts. But yeah, it's definitely interesting to watch and it was a it was a solid race for Arca. Arcasm like been too good, because it is all right. It seems like it went by really quick. Yeah, blue with it. So you know, move on from the inexperienced drivers to all of a sudden the top boys. Yeah, so we start out before the race even starts. Eleven drivers go to the back between adjustments, backup cars and they're placing a lot of stuff. It was a lot of change up the order, the starting order, the invert and stuff like that big time, and it definitely gave way to a lot of guys on the playoff bubble to get points. buyern got a lot of points in the first stage. Jones moved up quick and boy was on stoppable the first stage because you had the clean air. He was gone. Ye, as I see him get points, he hasn't really hasn't been doing that well lately. No, it's definitely nice to see him get some points because he's been mic and quite a bit lately because, I don't know, for whatever reason he's just not being able to finish races. So it's really nice to see him gets stage win and all that. And then we saw the Benedetto get points. He needed those, obviously, you said, with Byron and Jones and was Jimmy time throws. He even at the end. He's eleven. He fell back. Whence he got past per second? He just went straight to the back and you struggled to get the points he really needed in that. Yeah, it was definitely good to see for some of the drivers for sure. And Yeah, that started with eleven guys going to the back. I think it ended. Did it end up being thirteen total the field for because to failed inspection or something like that? Yeah, I think. I think that was the thing. There's a lot of drivers in the end. It definitely shook up what was the first stage and helped a lot of drivers. Heard a few drivers and points. Yeah, but yeah, it's definitely interesting to watch watch guys like his lasky Harvic Bush true x moved through the pack with yeah, then it moved too quick because it a package, but it was it was neat to watch guys that you don't know, mercy, a front batance for top points, because every point means a lot more to them than well, third, mean the fourth over, like his last game, stuff like that. So there's really nice. Yeah, I mean, and obviously only for the first stage, because by the time the stage ended, all the guys are right there ready to go that normally would be up front. So at time to second stage, got roll in, they wiggled their way up to the front and we're like, are you so back to normal Um? And Yeah, heard the front. Surprise. Yeah, HARBOC got big help by his crew after that first stage. Six positions. Yeah, he had a phenomenal stop. That was a while to see. They really jumped on the competitors there. Yeah, and then with that dominate stage two and were like all right, yeah, normal, yes, stage two was our boring stage the package. Once you get like strung out and the light of green flag it's not much strategy. It gets boring. I was contemplating taking an APP I'm not gonna lie. I stay up and you got we had to stage three and I'm Rolla and his team have a miscommunication. Yeah, I want they were like hot dog and I guess like hot dog meant pit, but...

...in Eric's car, I mean stay out. Yeah, I don't know what happened to that. Is does beard. It's where you see that. But yeah, it was definitely that makes another sheets for sure, but that that hurt him a lot. But then it being yeah, that hurt him. It hurt him a lot of in the beginning, but then once we had a big turning point in the race because Laski wrecked out, Blaine Fun for the lead definitely changed a lot in the race. Yeah, being the Kinsky Fan that I am, that one. That one hurt to see, especially being from Michigan, to hope and Brad would finally get a win at Michigan. And it looks like he had a legit shot, because those two are the only ones to those two regular ones, to really contend with Harvic. Yeah, and before before they wrecked, we actually have some pretty good racing. It was nice. It's good race between Hamlin, Harvic, Blainey and Kiss Laski. They're they're mixing it up good. A lot of close racing. It's pretty good to see that helped. That helped admiral a lot in that because he had he would have to pick laps later. Helped his finish, even though. Did he get a top ten? I think got a top ten. Defended the finishing counten. So you got up to six, there's something like that. Yeah, he diveritely didn't fall back too far. Yeah, he he ended up getting six. So yeah, that helped him out a lot and there were some good runs from guys. Surprisingly, Jimmy ended up finishing eleven, learn end of the twelve. So that was good for him because he's been slacking. I mean the team as a whole, husband it's it's it's her hairs to see Daven the team as a whole has been liken on two mile tracks, even though they did wear auto club Michigan and Hendrick. They'll last couple of years too. They've kind of like they have work to do. Definitely good, but yeah, there's a lot of work on there. And even with Jones, he blew transmission. Something happened in the end with on like a few laps to go. He finished like twenty seven, which was like, I didn't know where MBC didn't cover it, but he fell back and that hurt him in points a lot because he had a top five going and if he kept like the top five then it would only been like eight points. Are like ten points by the cutoff to buy. Yeah, I know him and Johnson are both tied at twenty six bag and Tyler Reddick really struggled to gain any points too, because he dropped back to thirty six, back after only being what fifteen entering your week are? He he struggled a lot at Michigan. Here there's something way off for children's and everything. You struggle. He struggled a lot in then in time rate entire weekend. Shoot, not even children, Chevy as a whole. I mean sure they finished eight through twelve, but that was their only salid runs. I'd even noticed Mac kin's of finish top fift he got fifteen, like yeah, it's stuff. Yeah, Ford is definitely. They had the entire weekend except truck side beat and Arca. They had had exfinity, both cup races. They did all covered there. Unstoppable. Yeah, I mean shoot. And then if starter didn't basically, you know, take himself out him and UN finger would have raced for the wind. So yeah, one word to bad moves total because and finger pulled that bad block. Ford could have taken the weekend, except for Arca, which would been wild. That would have been been on. That definitely would have been put on. Crazy stuff for just swept everything seem Um. As you said a lot of times, harvek one it was. It was a pretty intense finish for Michigan in recent years. Harvard was there, when him was there. Are HARVD made a couple mistakes here to get out of the gas couple times. Yeah, yeah, I think that showed the one down side of the package. So, because denny was under a second behind him for what the final nine laps? Yeah, and you come in and pass what was he could do was get up to his bumper like not even Domos, like that bubble effect was kicking in for the package and you just say come on, all right.

I mean then he had a chance to pass them coming out of two with what too to go, and they both had to check out. Yeah, they both had to check out. Harvard would have death. I mean Hamm would definitely had him of if they won't both and have to check up, there. Yeah, they were under second entire time and if Harvard just like kept running the outside and every turn, I bet he would have held them off easier. But for some reason you keep going low and some turns Hamon high and were just close. And Corner I especially out of for Oh yeah, especially on the final APP all of a sudden it was what four tenths of a second between the two and next thing you know he's about to pass them at the straight. Yeah, after that stripe was just a little bit Um further down the track, they would have been close. Yeah, definitely provided for some excitement to see. With Harvard winning, he ties rusty walls for ten follow all time at fifty five wins and one spout behind kile Bush, one win behind Kyle Bush. Who would have thought that? Entering the year, I would never thought that. I thought when Bush passed Harvard and wins list, that Bush is gone. There is no way hard was in it. Somehow cat back up, pass them back. No, we using just going to stay behind him the entire way up whenever they end. Yeah, it's definitelyting. He's two wins away from just like passing them and push you off the passing back again and I'll be a fight up the wins list, I think, in the final but were now in the final fourteen races of the season. Cow We win a race or two because we're heading to a lot of tracks that favor him. Yeah, but we'll with this year. We're also heading to a lot of tracks that favorite harved, so to definitely be interesting to see how that develops. Would you guys think of the Arca race and Second Michigan Race? I didn't get to see the ARC race, but second Michigan races pretty good. Finish was really fun to watch, though it sucked with the package not being a bullplass. If himlon should have gotten there, like I would love to see hammling that least get to the quarter Chanel because he could have used the side draft and going down the back street, back stretch and it would be in real tough fight in the corner, final corner, but can't really do anything about it. Yeah, Mike, Would you think? Yeah, the second race was going really well for me in fantasy and then bread decided to kill Blaney and yeah, those were the two cars I think had the that could be at Harvard on Sunday. But Um, it wasn't as good as Saturday. was still good, but wasn't as good as Saturday. Finish was awesome, though. I think handlon could have got him if he had another laber. So yeah, it's shoot. He definitely had a legit shot at a definitely. But and then with Harvey's Comin to he also becomes the first guy to win Cup races. I'm back to back days since one thousand nine hundred and seventy one, when the king himself did it. So that's pretty that's always good company to be in when your name is mentioned alongside his. Definitely that I must be like something pretty like big for Harvard. He's in a class with him and petty. Yeah, that's a pretty big stuff. It was here. How we can definitely. Yeah, and with the weekend going and this Sigan, we now head for the unknowns of the day, tone of road course. Oh my God, everything is unknown. We have there, we have no practice, we have nothing to go off of. It's going to be sent a minute turn long and just whatever happens happens, and it's going to be crazy. I guarantee you. Those boys are going to be spending a lot of time on I racing in the emulators. It's over this week. We'll probably they'll probably be like, yeah, it's been somewhere like sixty hours on it. What? Yeah, they gotta get as much as they can't I saw like chase chase out, didn't interview, and he said that like Iris installed doesn't like give as much as to like what you actually need, know, running on the track, and that likes just in the turn one he's an over to break any that. It's complete unknown. Yeah, Kenny, Mike, what do you think of upcoming weekend? So many on known loot way. Scary one, as I'm boys, definitely be serious. There's rain, rain,...

...rain comes the whole fields done for. Oh, there's gonna be like three cars aren't at the finish and it's going to be like the best road courses procurse racers in the field. Just imagine rain to start the race to all early one any reason. If there's, if there's any restart that continues a rain, it's it's over for the field so bad. And you really any restart involving tire? We're yeah, it's going to be. It's gonna be really crazy. That's right. I'm not even worried about the twenty six point gap that's in the playoffs. It's not even my mind because that's that's going to close up quickly, in a matter of laps in the in the road course. Definitely, out of the guys on that bubble, I feel like Byron needs to be really scared for Jimmy. Jimmy, Jimmy's ramper track enough times, granted, you know, losing protypes, but he's ranted enough times to know. I feel like he's got to be worried about McDowell too, because he's ranted as many times as Jimmy has. And then may we see Kyle, you know, finally break his slump and that'll unders the demon that none of us want to see. Yeah, he's probably one of the favorites for the race. Definitely the guys I have like the most experience out of favorites. Cos most recent with a with the car. It's like similar to cup cars, the most siers you can get in imps that they run there. Mike, what do you think about what's coming up? A lot of questions to be answered. We won't know anything until Sunday. Weather, how turn one goes. It's all going to be just drive and learn for the drivers, that's all it's going to be. I feel like it's gonna be like a survival of the fittest, kind of like the duel, not the duel, the clash, where it just going to be you, the last car left is going to be the winner. I don't think there's gonna be a lot of cars left, to be honest. Feel like there's be a lot of wrecks, a lot of spin outs, a lot of questions about the new Hikin to. It should be interesting to see how that's going to be and what could happen at the end. Yeah, it comes ards guys, though. That'll be interesting with that basically front stretched chicane aver. You want to classify it as based on its location it it'll definitely help with the speed entering turn one, but the unknown of coming off a turn for so it'll definitely be or will turn for in the Oval I should say, because that ends up being what turn twelve or thirteen on the red orders there, and of course I lost count. I can't remember that stuff. I'm not good stuff, but I bet in the beginning a lot of experience driver, especially like Bush, Johnson, Harvick, there's going to be a lot of like letting go. There's going to be a lot of like sacrificing points, like you're rather like raise like a guy like Byron or something for ten to points in the beginning, or would you rather just like let it go and just chill out and just learn the course and get used to it so by the time we're at the end, if you make it at the end, you're there and you're ready, you're confident yourself. I think they'll definitely be coming down to who can get the most used to the track. Also depends on where you're starting, because with the new starting format, towards what thirty five, Fifty Fifteen? So I know you had it on your story. The breakdown of where people are going to it's extreme more than like reasy starting. So and Harvi, it seems the most worried about it and he's like he's gonna goes getting, he's gonna get it all the start. Whatever happens, is going straight to him going straight to Bo hopefully not a hopefully he's not running a special scheme. So you know, if if I were them, I was like our like like replace an engine last second and be like, Oh, we got to be in the back now, going to the bag. I would honestly do that. If I was him, I would wait. We would bring like a really bad engine to be like Oh, this engine socks or whatever, and just like bring out the backup or whatever it is. Just start on the back and just be safe and a lot of working certn if I were guys like Kauzlowski, Blaney Foam and starting a little bit further back and with a lot on knowns and not a lot...

...of experience back there could get real di see. Yeah, and I can buy every temper. He's going to be a lot of tempers. Yeah, people are not gonna be liking each other after. He's definitely after, like I bet like the first slap, there's going to be a lot of stuff because as are going to be. I bet like it's going to be a couple cars and be pushed off into the grass or like the pavement at a turn one the runoff area. Seeing me a lot of guys going out there definitely wasn't. I haven't seen how much room is going to be for runoff here because they come back count basically right next to it almost. So I have no idea how much room they're going to have. So that'll be interesting to see. I'm sure that there's got to be a lot because these things do not hit the brakes like any series. And Yeah, yeah, to time it like before you you think they would do. Would want to break in and that's going to be a problem, especially in the first like three or four laps. It's going to be a big from breaking when you break. Yeah, that'll be a go ahead. There's probably going to be a lot of playing the game telephone going on because our God drivers are probably going to give info to truck drivers or they give in fo to vicrinity, to pop. That's very true. I've studying. Yeah, it's definitely could always lean on also, I was sneaking like pre race a lot of teammates and I bit like, even if you're not the same team, the competitors will like build up something and like take notes. A lot of people better be going to Kyle and asking them questions and Kyle could only give him so much since a stock car is a lot heavier than GTLM. I am I see there's really only a couple people I see from the arc of race really going to be able to give advice to anyone above. That also depends. I mean, obviously we won't have one of Riley hurts raison and the arc of race, so that cancels that out. So whoever's running that eighteen car probably be tigans. Is he running this weekend? I don't think he could run. Or course it's I don't even know what he could do on I say. And Oh no, you don't have the archive untry list on your story. I was going to check that down, but uh no. I think the only one that'll be able to give like any valuable information are probably Degan and I feel like dollar, for whatever reason's going to be able to give info up to people. Began, especially, but because she's already ran there. She ran the mischiling pilot challenge. Oh yeah, so she's already have experience this year with cars probably even more similar to the any other the stock cars. Yeah, this cars are really there. They're also really heavy and they yet to like time it. They're they're not like nearly as like the prototypes or GTMS are heavy and stuff like that. said to be something similar like that. I bet without a doubt that's fen years to be a lot better racing wise. Yeah, a lot of guys that have experienced and exfinity that are running. It's going to be a really it's Anna really cool. You got a trust everyone behind him and know. Yeah, well, look, we'll see like four or five guys that are going to be out front the entire time, maybe six, we'll see. You know, Briscoe, centric all guyer on the Dinger. Gregson was really impressive at Indie, so I think he could. You know, yeah, something at Daytona and then Alex Labay even and leave that like guys like Earl Bammer is going to be running in it Andy Lyley's in it Ala. There's a good amount of road course fingers. You're going to be in this cinder definitely pulling away, even with the experience. You won't be. Don't be pulling away. No, it'll be every I mean you're going to Daytona's Oh, regardless of which form of Daytona you running, you want to win there, but especially when you're running through road course. I mean the road courses history and the speedways history honestly just about equal in their own levels. So I would if you're going to day Tony you want to win there. It's like when they went to the exfrinity series went to the road course at Indie, every guy that was up at the front wanted to win there at the end because of just the history of the place. So definitely be interesting across all four series to see who really wants to put their name on the list first. So yeah, I winning picks. Who Do you think? Who Do you think is gonna...

Survive whatever is gonna Happen? Who Do we think it's gonna we is you know when Kenny? Who Do you think's going to win? WE'LL START WITH WITH COW Bush. Oh, okay, track, YEP, we'll go high. We got three mom in and forth. But yeah, anyways, truck trucks. I think it could be, isn't yeah, what's hard? Probably I think he could go good in that big sanity, obvious, inndric and in cop I think tyle Bush because of the GKL. I'm experience at Daytona. But who do you think? So, who you think's going to get the job done in the three series? All for the truck so I'm gonna go out Tagliani, just on a swing pick. I think all the new girl take care of business in the exffinity and in the cup, I like Jimmie Johnson. I think he's going to surprise. He's got to get away before you retires. I think this could be a chance. Sure you want to go, you want me to, I'll just drop my picks. I think the trucks, truck race, I think Alex Tagliani is like the favorite. He's the one that stands out and that he's at the one of the best equipment out there and he's probably one of the most experience, or the experienced, to run that course. He's definitely up there. EXFINITY I was I always go with almondingger on road course and I'll continue that almoner will win. And Cup, I don't know. I still I still think harbor's going to continue and I don't think this is going to slow down. A bit interesting for the trucks, I'll take Tagley on it too. I just think there's there's no way to go against him, like how do you going? He's in a Kay time truck field. Yeah, he's in a Kadium truck. There's no way to go against that, especially with how much road course experience he has in the exfinity series. I'm going to go. BRISCO, he he ran the mission empilot challenge. Yeah, he's not. He's not. That an experience. Seem falling back much. Yeah, so I'll take him there. And then with cup, there's so many guys to that to so many unknowns with cup, honestly, I um, I'm gonna go on a limits say tricks. Tricks is going to get the job done. It's definitely. It's definitely possible. Anyone's pretty much possible. Yeah, JJ Yaley can win for all you know, and I won't really surprised. This is this is what you get not putting practice, a qualifying and just run it. Couldn't help is going to win. The reason? No, Oh my God, Rd rending God, Rip Nascar, Instagram and twitter and everyone, oh my God, lose their mind. No, everyone would be so happy, though. It's gone one. Well, yeah, gone one, but I imagine Quinn how for one. I think NAST quarte twitter would cease to exist at that point. Oh my God, there's so many things that would just like kill Naskar twitter. One day they're going to happen. I'll be their laugh and it's going to be that's with that, I think we've just about gone over everything. Is there anything? Yeah, it's a lot of stuff. We've drawn it out. will start with their final thoughts. Kenny, final thoughts. You got anything to say? I don't got much left talk, though. Recovered a lot. Yeah, we definitely definitely set a lot. Mike final thoughts. All less boys have had at this weekend. Yeah, it's going to be. Oh, I got I get invites a friend over today to this weekend or whatever. This is going to be. This in me one for the history book. Stephromly, were looking at I'm expally looking back on this. Remember that time we had like forty five cautions at Daytona Forty five cautions and thirty laughs will do the map litter. Yeah, exactly, Dad. I'm just I'm excited to see what the weekends going to bring. There's a lot of racing, a lot of history with the low course and a lot of inexperience across the port. So it'll definitely be an exciting racing for the casuals, for us, I mean it'll be excited.

I'm excited the right bringing all the crashes. I want to see who gets out of it alive. Dude's honestly like all stories. But there's points in the picture. No one even you. No one's even thinking about points. No, it's because I thinking about points. When there's like ten laps left and there's like ten cars on trek, it's like, okay, who's left? What's going on here, dude? That's going to be they're gonna have to throw on the lights. It's going to run so late. With all the causes. They're like a red flagons going to start like tying lights to the cars. Truck creased us before the cuppers. So the truck race has to finish before that, and that at night. You're something like that because like the cup prices like the least experience, like, I don't know, trucks, trucks, is Natalie Decker. So she's pretty taken out of good nose. She this? Yeah, she is. She's on that. She's on the enter. This is the first thing I checked. WHOA watcher when the race? My mind say that, Mike, oh my Gosh, Oh man, now this is good. This has been a fun episode. Honest, I think we're getting better at this stuff. Yeah, we're slowly developing. Next week we'll have a loads things to talk about. We'll have new people on that. We're excited about and it's going to be it's gonna be fun and it's been fun today as a great weekend. And Yeah, it's time to get on a wrapper, wrapper up to Sunder home. About that, Kenny, Mike Troy, until next time. Yeah, I'll say as next week. Yes, sir, yeah,.
