Welcome to episode five, then Askar hot spot podcast. I'm your host, one of your host troy, joined by Chris Nick and Caden, and we have our first guess. We're going places. Joseph Costello. I think I said that right. Yes, yeah, let's go. He raises legend cars in and around New England and stuff like that. Most like New York, New Jersey, around that stuff. Jerzy, Jerzy. In this episode will be asking Joseph Some questions and stuff like that. We'll be going over what happened the weekend at Indian Dover and will also be taking a look forward and Daytona as we come to a cutoff race in regular season which is going to be hectic. So let's start the stuff up. How has everyone been hired? Good, yeah, board after those races. Yeah, it's kind of have Dover is ever over such a meat Ra yeah, it's kind of a track. I mean, I don't mind it, but I mean it's just not a great track. You know, like I would rather go to the eighteen other tracks on the schedule before I go to Dover. Well, well, yeah, I don't know about eighteen. This twenty two total. You're putting like tracks like Kentucky in front of that stuff. Kentucky's good, and send Texas well. Kentucky has been good like the past three or slowly. So I'm going it's slowly getting better. When they added the pja one, yeah, and when they add the fake package, get better. Already complaining about choice favorite pack a minute when I want to. When I started the podcast on that, I gotta like tone down the amount of times I trash to package on here or people. I got a toe down on the amount of times I talked about how trick should have won things. Yeah, you should have won over one, but Oh my God, here we go. There we go. Yeah, like if you're gonna come third and keep this fee, go, yeah, come to get seven odds were like a million. That's what the yeah, one in one point six million or something like that. One million, six cows and stuff going. You already know somebody put like a small bed on it. Okay, I had tricks winning both races. I'm finishing second both races, so I'm pretty hard broken right about. I think I did have HARVC for in a second race, so I'm happy. I had hardee got. Oh, I know I had the first race. I had tucks running the first one and I had, I think I did have of Harvard winning the second one, or right there, had harbarch winning the first one, tricks, when in the second one, one of the two, I was between Harvard and have one. I didn't care, it's one of them. Wow, your basic. They'RE gonna win. One of them is gonna win it. It has been like that since they came back. So yeah, it is. It is like and I got to the start of the season, Halo, one hundred, two, five hundred. I called road. Who Knew? Who knew then that they would combine for what thirteen wins? Yeah, yeah, Barbecu has six and one has six and I cause last guest three. Laganois to and then everyone else just says, well it, Eliot has to, Ellie has to. Yeah, Dover Race. It was the First Cup race. Oh my God, Cup exfinity trucks are cool. You just skipped five. We forgot. So guys over to. That was such a great race. Yeah, and then now we gotta go on a weekend or a Friday. Just a mess it all. Okay, okay, what about? Okay, we have to start with news. News, a lot of so better pick them up. Fire, just fire, motor sports being the best team in all of NASCAR history. Mansions Roush stayed and Justin Haley as potential drivers for the next two chair one career went at last year's poke coke, the coke zero four hundred because of a range short race. Congratulation, Spinal Motor Sports, the new rid your petty money and they're not gonna hire part yeah, just in Hale. Let me just in Hale. He's not that bad realistically. He's done he's had success, he's decent. He wanted talent eggs and he's doing better than that. That I'm doing. Happy that not a lot of sponsors isn't going...

...to the forty two, because I would. That is true. I see. What about? No one's really talked about this. What about chip canasser racing downsizing to a one car team? Oh No, that one happened. Gets too much. SPONSORS TED UP. Were incredible. One McDonald's. who were they gonna hire, though? Forty two operation, your you're doing something your brands made really wrong. Yeah, but they could put all they could, put all their money into one car, though. No, make one really competitive. But I mean that the stars are already competitive if they want. Many owners have said so many owners have said that it's pointless to run a one card team. It's actually more valuable to just run two cars because of all the Intel and all that you can get, and then you get all that sponsorship money in there. So really it's way better to run to if you if you downsize to one, you might as well just hang it up. Yeah, I just went downside two three. I don't know why I try. I keeps thinking that Henderson it downsize two, three cars. I'm idiot that. I am very I mean at first I saw it, but now I don't see it now. Yeah, I mean we got Eric Jones. He's one of the most upand coming rookies. Well, not wreck, he's I shouldn't say that. I've been coming. I've been coming young guns. He has potential. I'm like William Byron. Yes, potential. So you know. Well, Williams rushed first. Second. Yeah, he was rushed because he's always Daniels tore is. Everyone hated sores. Did I lie? He's got the lie. He's got the A V two thousand and twelve, thousand and thirteen, and that's what the lodging cardon stuff. What I'm driving that he weither did fors, then he wanted to late models, then he wanted to add came. Then then he went at the truck for a year. That he know. He went to Cana for to the he wanted to hang out, then extremely and then come for like three years prison. Well, here's the thing. Ti gets crashed. He's okay, same are one. Yeah, that's about it. There you go. Okay, so Sarcustom does. It was a pretty competitive race, mostly between GMS and stuff like that. A lot of high Layan Smith Bro Yeah, I didn't hype. came in bout like Johnny Sauder, but like he didn't do much. Some me we can grow beard and we both starting legends. Yeah, as S G G MS dominated. Trucker is pretty much and surer stage one. Who won that Austin Hill? Yo, GAIDEN's face. Yeah, Whoo, and it was. It was coming down to Brett MOFFAT verse Awsome Hill for the Wind, but crashed, store freezing crashed. I did not see Austin once in this final day, did I? Oh, yeah, yeah, we show really paying attention so much. They are talking true from yeah, come Saturday dixfinity race, the first one of the week came on. Justin Allguy are finally one this season. He deserved it. I mean it's been when was the last time he one? Was it phoenix the next last year? Yeah, I mean, so the man was due for what. He's been pretty good this whole year. So I mean my wain on this guy just he's been one of the most consistent other than maybe Harrison Burton, the chase BRISCO and. Yeah, I know, what's that? Awesome? Yeah, Yep, saying Gregson's screwed him over Bristol. Yes, how many he screwed himself with Texas. But the commitment, N you know, point got a point, may's got a point. Yep, they are the best. Alexation went to the First Cup race. Yeah, what do you mean? We skip the exfinity second race. But what is it to talk about extrinity? What I mean? Chase Briscoe an all the rescue crashed. He crashed himself. Oh Yeah, FIRSTCO did crash in the first extrinity race and then decided, okay, you know, I'm just gonna win the next day. Of course. Yeah, in a backup car too. So that's impressive. I think the ninety eight team is. Honestly, I think cyndric had pretty good races, but I think the ID is honestly the favorite for the championship. Yeah, it's real much this summer stretched kind of favorite, and drick in some way, but he, I mean he did have good runs at Kentucky. He did have good runs at Kentucky. Yes, but I feel like with how many road courses we just had, I mean it's gonna obviously favorite syndric. He's most likely going to make the championship, for if he doesn't, that'll be whack. Well, I'd be celebrating for yeah,...

...he wins the row. Hoo. I mean mean BRISCO won the row of the one here. Didn't he won the first one. He won the first run. So BRESCO could win out, but with the way cyndric's been running, I think he kind of needed to tone it down so that Risko could do better now. So fristcoes the championship favorite, I think. I think boiler, I think there's gonna win this. Yeah, because this, yeah, this race was with the low down force, like the lowest boiler every race, and exffinity is. But yeah, and I knew that. I'm good. I forgot what a home study were because I was going to say home, such a good track like the dirt guys, but then I realize, oh what, we're not going home, so we're doing a phoenix. HMM. Yeah, that's a good truck to Tyler Reddigg, but he's not an exper to me, Faner Day, this is gonna be tough one. I don't know who pick for that, but to the only thing to counter Kaden, your point was sure cinder can Brisco when you look at wins they're really close, but CENTRICA has over a race points lead on him. that. Yeah, because, yeah, just he did matches. If he matches briscoes and he lacks a regular season, this weekend, yeah, not gonna lie. I mean I'm matter. Yeah, yeah, I mean it's the playoffs. A briscoe could, I mean Briscoe or cinder could be out round one for all we know. If they just have several bat races, it's not going to happen. But I mean we saw with Kyle Bush last year. He got saved by playoff points and around a sixty. And if he didn't make that, no more second championship. Marcher's champion cars bonus points NASCAR's bonus points. It's not that I think it's a win in your end. I hate that cush Hushter and Dylan are below sixteenth and points, which would give Jones the sixteen place in the playoffs, but since custer and Dylan one, it's just it's just not riot, I think, as no meaning of being in this. They say if we could do compare this to other sports, which I mean NASCAR. He's no stick and ball sport. But let's say you have that in football or basketball or baseball, the worst team wins and they're in. Like, realize that every other major sport the side. Yeah, I know, two to three times as many games per season. Yeah, and then so that's that statement is totally I don't even know where to put that. I only follow an Ascar on hockey, so you can't bully me that hard head. I can play thirty two games. How many guys this Askar have points forwarding thirty s yeah, so you can't compare those two at all. Let's move on to Dover one, because, I mean cup is the only relevant thing at this point. Over one, Kirk crashed because he lifted coming out of turn. To because I was a smart idea. I question when he left. I'm like, okay, yeah, I mean it looks it. No, he didn't. Did he get loose? Something try happen? He probably doesn't. Just even wanted to RECTA. All right, mess it up anyways, and I messed it up, but he's still fan of managed to finish eleven or thirteen, somewhere between there. I think he finished thirteen. It was a good points. They go on for him until you know, Danny dominated the first race, because you know Denny Hamlon does any Hamlin things. He's the favorite. Hammon or Harvick. Harvick, he won the second race and the regular season points. Mention that. Yeah, he clenched up hot yeah, early in the race to it. Didn't he clenched it up in like stage one or stage two. Yeah, something Harvard. Well, HARVC swept the stages and stick in race too. Yeah, because Harvard is got this this year. He's been got every year since like two thousand and eighteen, I think, talking last week. But like there's no way he wins the championship. This to show home system for the playoffs, who are all right, definitely going to lose. I mean you all try, Phoenix, I mean did. That would be such a race, Bro that would be oh my God, I'm gonna be on the big character. I'M gonna be honest here. The Phoenix was the best race on the COVID break. So, yeah, I agree. You forgot the Daytona five hundred existed. Well, it's just a times. Survive carnage is all you gotta do. I yeah, I'm high racer. I think I...

...know what this means. I play Nascar Heat for for living. I know how to get around Daytona. Yeah, you got to do just garl a track both thought of. Why the line? If you don't want they all line, you're done. Make sure to get that draft. Very important. Gut I drop. You know I'm damage. Only do only interesting thing to point out from the first race of the second race was Byron's improvement from his garbage show of first race. And Holy Finished Twenty Eight, twenty seven. He finished terrible. You will if you heard the snippets of Byron talking. I can that is that was funny. I reminded me of and box was. I really wish I didn't like Jimmy. Why? You have a choice. He did have a choice. You gotta put there I think if it was up to get outs, because that's what I stayed with. You me. Yeah, from what I already said, he chose the lead because he just didn't wasn't being his normal self. But then again, we can't blame pocno two thousand and seventeen for that. We I really can. At race technical we can, because that's the crash that basically killed his career. Because if you really think about it, if you know, you know he just got bad. How was that? How is that possible? There the body everyone has, as they say, everyone has had it ever. He had three weeks. Is the season before that happened to hundred, but we saw a day L aren't senior happened. He went several years without a way and Richard Petty now senior, and one year that I was going that is not one, ninety seven of that a win. Yeah, okay. The reason why Richard Petty just got bad, it's because he just kept betting. Way Old, like I think he got like I think he was around his mid s when he retired. Is it also petition stepped up and, like most puss it was a was hard of it. It was hard of the cause, because the money was growing back then, sponsorship and be he didn't have the money he's seen and have the back, the backing like he did on stead and kind of explains it, and a day like he just want one year without wedding, which is literally nothing. I know, I know this going to be controversial, but just saying, like, okay, so I think the competition got harder, for when Patty stopped winning. I don't think it was anything I said. Yeah, that's I like. I don't think Patty's the greatest of all time. I do think he's good, don't get me wrong, like really good. He's definitely top five, top three, but I think the competition stepped up to the point where petty just was an on level with some of the other drivers, not just my two cents. So and the only go ahead, the only reason why I think her heart really good. It's because he just had that short track, I guess, mindset. I like tracks are not super spewise like he was really got the super speedways, but he was also good like out of the Super Stederis, which maybe really think of a short track mindset, because he pulled bumping runs. No matter where you won, he always did what he normally did. So to me I think he always had that short track mindset. Yeah, I'm well. And biggest thing with petty was he was born thirty seven, so that makes eighty four. When the last time he won a race? What he would have been? Forty six, forty seven years old? I'll check moving forty six of forty seven years old. So not only did the competition get better, but he was also getting older. Richard Petty, yeah, eighty three years old. His last one in one nine hundred and eighty four. So it's all he was in nineteen, eighty four, forty six. Yeah, it was forty. Sex is actually July second. So when was a fire cracker? Four hundred, but I could be five Jill, like fourth every year then. So he was forty s were and he retired at the age of fifty five. And how old is you now? Eighty three, eighty three. Yeah. So did competition get better? Yes, did it an advance beyond what he had knowledge of? Yes, but he also got older to yeah, I think they're just several factors that you can't really pinpoint one foed out like the Claire Definite answer of why he stopped winning all the time. Caught up to him. Money caught up to him. Sponsors Ben Bat back in as much. There you go. Yeah, that's the weird thing about Jimmy, though. It's like, obviously he doesn't have loads, but there's not anything like super noticeable. That explains why he's dropped off so much. Just needs like forty four years old, Jimmy. Yeah, we've seen harve fills like forty five. I think. No, Jimmy Johnson is he's forty three, forty four years old. He transported September. Honestly, though, Jimmy Johnson doesn't look that bad for a forty four year...

...old. I thought like, if you were till, I mean if you were to look at him, you guys are get way are twenty five the same much? You gotta think about it. Jimmy also had a like he went on like major exercising stuff, like he did, by driving, training, all this good stuff to get him in good shape. That's why he's like this. He's a good driver, yes, but I really think that Polon or crash probably change it, because we saw what happened with drivers and injuries of like any kind, like we saw down in our junior two thousand and three Fontana. We saw what happened with him in his concussions. Like he was, he was getting to be really good, but he had that accident and which made him basically stop his entire career. Multiple or dire excellents get there. How many concussions did you get it? Did he get three? Twenty two total? Enough. Twenty two of like enough. Too many different levels, is me. His main were like in like Ninety Eight, Oh to twelve thousandour sixteen. It was like his me. Anyway. You see with a lot of drivers that no matter what injury could be, soreness could be, it could be a headache, to be anything, literally, it catches up to you where it's going to affect your driving. Start like there are people who are like my back is lasky one with the flu. This is I was like Las Vegas. That a twenty. That's the sickness to get over easily, not like where you have like, I don't know, sore eggs and all that's get all this stuff that drivers deal like, because there's one drivers. Yeah, the fun stuff, I guess, because there's drivers out there, their short chuck drivers out there right now because, okay, I have a good example Scott Bloom place. He is the best dirt late model driver out there. I don't care what anybody sells. He's the best dirt lay model Gorover oute there. He got into that in a motorcycle accident. He's not been the same since, like when he was. When you see Scott quits up in your track, you really like you, you'd be like yourself, okay, pack it up, we're going home now. When you see Scott Bloomqush, you're gonna be like, okay, he's another competitor to deal with. Maybe we have a chance. You don't know, because Scott, it's Scott's been awfu lately since that motorcycle accident. So it's usually the injuries catch up with the driver and that's why they're not performing at best. That's why I think Polkano was the career ending of his crash. I don't think it was. I don't think it played the hundred percent factor it put. I used think I played it put. I don't think it played most of it either. I think it paid all. It definitely paid a portion of it, but I think I mean Jimmy Johnson. Towards the end of the season he wasn't running great, which could have been because of that, but I mean he was still a round of eight driver in the end. You still running here in luck. He lucked into the round of eight because, yeah, we simply didn't. He Real luck in his hands. Yeah, flipped, which caused Ma kinds of to get get out of the race. So that love Jimmy into the round of eight, because he was never going make that around a baby matter one. Yeah, so that's the reason. Yeah, and he was using a must win by Phoenix either way. Even after you like yeah, he was like, I buy eighty. Yeah, even after the decent runs after Texas, and was new with any well, everyone, you had to win. That was below that final four. No, no, Shady's in by points, sail in my points. But Matt said, no, I know, chases actually must win. Yeah, they were almost twenty after twenty seven with them, Armsville using the must one. Yeah, no, he almost is true. It on about trux was locked in, Harvark was locked inchurs was locked in on points, Harvard locked in with his win at Texas, Kyle Mosh locked himself in and then Kens its one and Caz Laski was enough points ahead where you had a win. If you're below the final four, I don't understand why they put his last game. He was literally the worst driver I've seen the championship for and years. That's us that you don't like. What? What are you talking about? What? Because that's you like. Why do they put him in? Yeah, he got himself in, but like it's because, like Hamling, handling ended up getting wrecked by chase. Chase choked. The win of CIS to somebody's just started Sean Johnson Blue Tire and wasn't a must. Winy the Ray Blade was just a non factor through the yeah, bleaned be heels was so good. So few did. Yeah, I mean he didn't he show speed at Phoenix. I'm pretty sure he showed race when early on, I know, but I think he faded. I know he finished like top five, I think. I don't care, though. I don't know. He hit eighth and points, I think. I think he got no, but no, I find it finished up five in the race. Any for me, anything a mile or if anything, if it's ball a mile, it's not a short jock. If not, if it's a ball a mile, it's a short track. If it's a mile or up on a short track. I agree that don't it is. I don't think over...

New Hampshire. Those aren't short tricks. Those are our short track. There's a miles. Don't feel like more than has a short track. Feel has the long corners, bank corners, short straight away. Yeah, it's fast right and fast, but it's not a short check. To my it's not. I don't cat DOVERN got new Hampshireel cow, PHOENIX, I don't get those a short tracks. Richmond, I kind of short track. Bristol, Martin's goes a short track. Yeah, those are the only three short tracks, I'm pretty sure. Yeah, and we're sure try I make it. PHOENIX. How many point at one point six, one point when Weird Phoenix, one point one, I want to say like it's got some weird measurement to it. It's all they say. It's a one mile of raceback. It's all it says on Google. Yeah, I see it at a short dry. Yeah, I don't know why they made the championship for reason there. It's not like dark towards a mile in a third, you know, some weird measurement like that, or gave way. Yeah, gateways for a mile. And a quarter. I gelways, weird man. Something about gateway makes my stomach or it's one of my favorites on the t no, it's good. No, it's good. Get. Don't get me wrong, it just looks weird. What throws a tick when it looks like when Troy tries to draw Darlington not dialing in Dover any track. That was amazing. Does amazing or issue than no, I remember you made Daytona road course and I was like, a hold up, I need to one up him real quick. And then I mind. I thought I know what I was doing, and so I took my finger off the phone. I'm like, what is this? This is so I was of championship for thing, where they do for races, one at each type of tracks. They can do like one road course, one super speed way, one short. No, because if Ellia makes the championship for you win Sona. No, I don't do super speed away because that's just like to wild card, because it's not fair. Yeah, but I feel I don't know, I just think they should do like one. If they were to do it, I would like to see I would like to see Bristol or Martinsville, Richmond. I don't care when. The three short tracks I would like to see for sure. Still Bristol, I would like to see. So Bristol would be the short track. I'd like to see a mile and a half. Maybe Charlotte, Vegas, somewhere like that, because then I mean a mile and a half. What makes up the schedule? Then I think Miami would be a good fit. And then, if you're going to choose a road course, choose Watkins Glenn or see TMP. Choose to see TM ples. Definitely. Yep, I head of north of the border for that race. That's what in America best track and everywhere that's bold ring. That's cooling to Germany, nerv green just to watch the race. But I'm not suching the track. Yeah, no, I was straight into the MED but you see cards like twelve minutes whatever. It's not even that. That truck is just so fast and stone dangerous, because I saw videos where that's we're part of the track. Down the straightaways is like a couple up hill and downhill section you're called literally takes flight a little bit. Yeah, this is so scary. I love APP drainage for reason. Green Hell, and then the green is like no long A. There's no passing, there's no run off the gun. It's just like Huh, yeah, that explains it. If you're going to make a pass, you gotta Pullo you like possible. Those moves get you got a turn off simulation steering. Yeah, yeah, let yeah, so I think we're at the second exfinity Dover race that we're way behind. Let's see. We we literally cover we covered everyone. We covered everything, covered every point. My boy, we got to do points Indy Carter than me. Yeah, Hey, Sou points. So Jimmy had a crazy race where he took two tires in the end where I was now, he did. He is very wides had like seventy lap old tires on. It was like I already it played out, because it was Jimmie Johnson at Dover, the man. No, it didn't even didn't just like died. I don't know what it played out because Byron didn't try to move them at all. Byron literally just drove very behind him. He share, because Byron would have known how much absolute...

...the comment sections. He would have actually social media. He wouldn't to let some guaranteed I would have done it. I would have done it if I was them. Don't but like it. Don't dump them, because is why I want this. I mean, why would you dump them in the first place? It's Jimmy Johnson. You'RE gonna get sole Shaye for that. I would. WAS HE gonna do it? Doesn't. He's never fought anyone. Yeah, yes, one when I went the physical fight, but like, he's like, he's like, so he's never fired in an angry way. Yeah, he's all. Most the most aggression that Byron shows is online on high racing. Yeah, he's afraid to do it in your life or to tack. And I was drained over you. Right, work about how about Kyo Washer Watkins going like I'm at that aggression, just like ruining his top fee? You didn't want to do it because that is said. Good. Go driving in the back room. Okay, okay, wishers. Team was like, okay, well, I just break check them. Yeah, because I I was amask mature, not able to handle situations, because you know, he has to be told everything. Anyway, moving on, we're right. They call this week, but literally the final what is the wild car of the yeah, this horrible white. I had explain it. I'M gonna explain it quickly. I hate the idea of it. It's so stupid, of a being the final race of the regular season, but I love it. I hate it to the point where I love it's gonna be so much fun. I always love it. I would love it if it didn't like have something to do with Jimmy Johnson missing the playoffs. And Yeah, I hope zero four hundred. I'M gonna be honest, I like it better than a ton five hundred. I just gives up a different VIBE. It is really why I hate it is because it moved like the coke. Four hundred was on July weekend. So when I saw the announcement they were changing into August, I was like, what kind of stuff are they on? Because I think in the day that's thinking the Judas your way be. That's setting up for more, even more bad weather departments, because a it's for it for. So, yeah, it's going to rand no matter what. No matter what's that one of the season. But more to mean. Maybe we get lucky, but I mean it's two thousand and twenty. It's going to rain, it's gonna Hurricane Tear up the track and we're gonna have to go to like let's see somewhere else. Just gonna Wreck Entucky two thousand and twenty. I mean because I wors doesn't have any super because it's two thousand and twenty, and Stenhouse is going to end up winning, just to ruin everything. I think Standa for that. No, senus is getting will fifty laps and then wreck. Lanny will lead every lap in the race until the final lap, until a final court, no, until the triobal, and then gets fun by Ryan Newman. Ryan be a tough ending. Everyone has counted out. Everyone has count no, I've never seen anyone say this yet since, but what a Bryan Numo, Winshay Tonah, wait, back had got bad crash, and then wins are in like Matt Kens and Rightman, locked in the playoffs or something like that. No, locked in the WHOA in? They can, they can make it. If because larsleeper. Yeah, that's the mischiefferent the entire time. I would laugh. Just remember, even if brand pool wins the race, he won't make the playoffs because he's blow thirty of some points. You know, you know. If Rhyme prieze is a bad day and gain restore as wins, he's in the playoffs. I just need yeah, bad, bad, Daniel Swerez is. I will stand by this the rest of the season because I have so far. Danieliel courses, but new KC gang it don't and again and removed from the podcasts. Is overachieving so damn much this season it's not even funny. Yeah, I'm from with he roves. He deserves a third chance. I don't think I'd ever say that, but you clear right. Is More laps completed this season than all for Hender. I don't think. I don't think you should go now. Don't give them, don't give them to don't put them in Stewart Hodge. Don't get put them in Joe Gibbs again. Put Him in. Maybe somewhere like go fast, racing, like what if go fast? I think they'll take Brisco but what if they take Surerez? I want to see what Swarz can do. Be Katy. Maybe get a top twenty five, maybe a top even. This might be a long shot at a top twenty. Surest in the forty eight. No, Jones, the forty eight. What if better? Would lose my mind. Wait, what if he goes to the forty two? Oh no, but this swords. See, he's going to seventy seven. Rospect seventy seven and the forty two has and the...

...only person who's been talked to us by the forty two that we know is bubble wallace, and bubble Wallace seems pretty awesome. But that buddy bubbish staying. So I mean maybe he does take the forty two, but that's like the boldest prediction I've ever seen a long time, because, I mean, we don't know anything about Soorz is contract. Yeah, it'd be pretty funny though, if he goes to the forty two. They record may Correlai win six races next season makes the championship for wins the championship. So the Indian APP was five hundred. All right, second the last. I didn't watch it. I was I'm sorry if I was flipping back and forth between that total run one, because indie car doesn't know how to green checkered, so I don't have a real you stick. I want to talk about that, about that situation between the green white trucker and an Indie card. I was pissed off that the red flag. I was pissed up there. Didn't go back green, but but I did understand for safety reason. You're in an Indie car, not a stock card. Indie cars they're doing two hundred and thirty miles per hour entering turn one. There they are the not we're stock cars where you have a passenger side and your. You can hit the passengerside your you won't be you won't get key bone driver's side. It's more like if you hit someone, your get crashing pretty hard. You're crashing pretty hard. Yeah, so like a two lamp shoot out or like a mom I'm shoots, a really dangerous well, yeah, that's why Indie car. That's the thing within the car. I don't think they will never add green white checkers. That their series. Is Because of the danger? Yeah, because you can't. Because out of every racing division you see, the only division you really can make contact then is Nascar. Maybe am so. Maybe, what rally cross, dirt racing? But besides sprint cars and Oh we saw this past weekend you can make contact with sprint cars and still win the race after its depends on the contact in that part, though, and and whatever short and some more short chuck racings. If I'm missing anything, you can let me know. I am sorry, but anyway. You can make contact and F one smit kill a guy. That's your might. You might win to Yeh. And fone you could touch the slightest and you'll get a five, five second penalty. Yeah, that's said. That's what I hit about. Like any car enough wants to know contacts work, because but that makes more sense because of the danger. Yeah, it's way more dangerous. It's like a different it's a different kind of driving style at phone is. Again, F one's all road courses and they're they're not going out. FIS like I think they're top to be like two hundred something miss p hour, but they're not going through hundred something miss brower. Yeah, they're like they're tops to me. They can restart any rachects, probably one hundred, ninety hundred and ninety five. I could be wrong. I'm not on the big FONE. WHO's? Yes, it depends on the track, because some of them well, also, everyone's motors for the most part are different, aside from a couple that you know. They buy their motors from someone else. Yeah, but I don't know the top teams their motors will reach, especially was it red bull? Yeah, red bull is mostly straight away speed compared to cornery. They'll they'll reach two hundred miles an hour, no problem. Yeah, so that's why I don't think, in my opinion, any come on the verger. My checkers to the safety. They don't want to risk taking another like animal risk driver's safety rises racing. We're good. We just froze. We just froze. That was I just did. That's tough. Yeah, now, but we need to gaming lely the guest. The guests have a guest. Hi chose. Would you like to properly introduce our wonderful guest? That is protect so Joseph drives the left, but like not NASCAR. So yeay again. Introduce Yourself. All right, I am dress like a stile, driving in on a sixty. I next leging car at we're we head raceway, buffomover speedway, Evergreen, Grace Way and Wall Stadium. I'm driving like four or five different drags. I will be traveling more and more once we find sponsorship. I've been driving legend cards for now. My he's my second year. Will supposed to my second year, but thanks covid we're kindly look for sponsorship. I'm trying to get I'm trying to do everything I can. My Dad shouldn't be everything we can. I'm serious. He's here. Yeah, I'll come if you got money. Guy. He's awesome. I will be traveling a lot. I love the gift shout out to the people on my instagram, my social media. I always do it. Troy...

...knows that. So yeah, if you try, probably can give you my instagram after I don't know. Gay, if he does, please a sponsorship. Me And my dad will talk about it. We'll put one the fine place to put me on the car and hopefully we'll go somewhere. I'm currently made sixty motor sports, probably one of the best legend cards, probably the one of the best leging guard teams out there. So hopefully two thousand and twenty, if we go from the track, will be racing and winning races. For now I'll be sticking in New Jersey and I'm from New York, so that's it's a four minute, forty minute racetrack and troy's being becoming the spotting for me. Yeah, call me up. Oh, that's real. Yeah, you can spite. Yeah, it's all the thing is wedging cars. You can spot. Just has to approve by the track like I next sanctioning body rules says no spots allowed, but they're lying. They're lying spots like let they a lot of spotters at nationals, where it's basically like championship racing where they take everybody around the world and they put it on one big track. So they have like dirty car start and they have one driver picks on the championship. So they have road course nationals, they have Oval Asshole, asshole nations, which the ovals which I'm doing, and then have dirt nationals, which is the dirt racing. So I want to do all three. I've never done record, I haven't done road coursing in a lot road course racing in a while and I have never I have never tied. I have it done dirt. So all right. So, Um, is this just stingy Bey spotter like Wall Stadium? The thing is with Wall stadium they don't know watch a car. Spotters is speaking, because I I'm like where would like you spot like? Would you like sit in one of the trees and the backstrets or something? So there's spotterstand and the front stretch and you can go you can send in the grand stands, but there's spotters down the funch stretch. That which I prefer because you could see the entire track a lot better. Yeah, but that's like the higher classic late model guys modified, spoiled in in a more legends pretty much the only sension body that are big racing that. It doesn't have flatterers really, they don't really allow it. So whatever, all I so we're going to open the media up to the questions for Mr Castello here. Okay, great, yes, yes, Glenn. Okay. So what was the origination of how you wanted to like start racing legends, or did you just say one day, Hey, I want to race legends, like, what was the backstory behind that? So in two thousand and eighteen I was planning. Try Remembers my sling shot career. I hope, I think you. Yeah, I did sling shots in two thousand and fourteen. A's mid two thousand and fourteen and I've been doing and I was I was thinking to myself during my offseason two thousand and eighteen. I was like we want to stay in lodgers. You once I sling shots are don't move on. So I was talking a few buddies of mine and in terms of luck. I got great luck. They told me I have a body. That is jake, my friend Jake Mathison. How's this scard sail, which is the black are you see on screen right now making a three wide move on the top side? Um, I talked to my dad about it, and this is this is literally a month right before my season starts, so we were rushing everything. I talked to my dad about it. My Dad agreed on it. We just had to fund the money. We found the money, we drove the New Hampshire sick out, six eight hour drive, stayed there for a night, came back down and tested the car and we're here we are, and that's what you see on my on this script now, this big black mobile right there making three why? Top? And my second question is why the number safety like? Does that have any origination or did you just did already come with sixty? No, I didn't come with sixty. Actually, the the original car numbers, the fifty two N H I was a number sixty. Since two thousand and eighteen, I are all racing number sixteen league racing. Since two thou one thousand six hundred and seventeen. The back star and the left of the sixty, I kind of sixty car that has the worst luck in racing history. It all started in a league race, league racing. I was supposed to do a league race and I was. My original car number was the eight, but then apparently had a change my car number and I wasn't. I was. This isn't during a Nascar fifteen league racing days. So well, last greatly racing. So Nice. I switched over the sixteen. I told my dad twenty miles, get my two thousand and eighteen. Rap, I want to switch over my car number sixty. Kept question to me why, and I just saw my poem. Kept telling him the econic sixty was born and...

...hopefully we'll put a victory lane soon. Nice. Nice, yeah, Nice. I CANU center questions. Yeah, I only had to. You only told me to get to I said two, two, three. I'm just wanting for you had a third. You don't need one. I nick at any questions. Oh Yeah, my first question is, if there is a driver, which driver do you try and follow your driving style? After shoted my eye. So my not my favorite driver. My idol is Jimmy Johnson. Obviously I'm wearing its hat right now. I Chad follow his procedures. He actually the reason why I like right in my bike a lot. I try to follow them and I try to do I don't. I try to drive like a my try drivers try to drive respect respect the full, respectful and all that stuff drive me. I don't want driving dirty. Dirty is not my thing because I get I don't want to tear up word other people's equipment and get my stuff equipment. I get my stuff torn up. It's not how I one drive. I like driving. I drive my competitors for respectful, if they drive me respectful whatever. So I am the problem with anybody. Hopefully I don't want on the palms any about on the track. So, all things I was wondering what your favorite track you drive on right now is and what your dream track in jargon would be. My Fair Race Track I've been to that I'm not raised on is probably wall or riverhead. reverends a beautiful track. It's a nice track. Wall was close to me. It's a nice track to my favorite truck that I have raced on is Bethel. It's simply one of my better tracks. When my best track. I know how to drive there. I don't a race there. That's where I'm feeling where my first one can come from at that track. I've been there four or five times. I finished ninth my first race. Second Race I finished fifth. No Way. Yeah, I finished fifth, but I had a lot of issues when my motor. That six cars, but I finished Beth because I again boon mechanical issues in my car. My third time I was there, I forgot where I finished a thick. I finish fourth or Betout of Eight, and then my last time I've been there I finished eight out of twenty after going to the riar twice. Oh Wow, yeah, you can see that videos on my youtube though, for you. Wan'll my questions. Okay, sing I. So what like what are the mean like characteristics of like wall that like make it, like Chanel, difference from like other tracks? The thing about wall is that so fast and if the wall, I don't know why they call a wall standing when it's literally guarden rails, as their walls Garat rail there is not stre easy, but way. Is it like an actual stadium inside? No, now it's like it's like a stadium, but it's kind of hard to explain. It's really high, but it's a short track. It's an where is it? Where is this again? Jersey? It's like a twenty minutes for me. Just look at wall. It looks cool. Yeah, that's the Chad Nick. I'm not looking. I want to see this for myself. I think about so walls a fast track. Wall is also a dangerous track. The garden railer is not straight, which scares the hollow to me. Um, I guess it's like Darlington. Yeah, never mind. Well, yeah, it's Chicago's like a curve vextre's it like kind of it's not. It's that curve. It's just that the guard rail there. It's just not. It's like on an angle. It's like on angles. It's like it's very hard, like you know how like every driver they try to get close to closeted a wall because it's like a fast yeah, I don't know where that line is because the guard railers is so at the guard Ros there. So one straight. So it's kind of hard to figure out where that is. And the thing is it's a very, very tight race track. It looks like it's a multiple converseirack. It's not. It's a very tight race track and there with the legends. It's like draft. It's like drafting becomes a thing for us. So it's kind of right. Is it a bump and run CONDA track? Like you have to use the bumper else you're not going to pass. You don't have to use the bumper. You can pass on the outside. He's got to make a work, like you gotta have the car to do it and the driver's count to do it, but it's do able the outside Caden. This is like one of the tracks that still all the trucks. is like grew up racing like more. Yeah, miner ray, yeah, stuff like that. March everyst that track. Yeah, his cousin Tyler race the too. So the trove to history. They're Martin Tux, his father...

...race there. I think you're race there. True ex junior did race there. All that's so much sex modifies, I think. And the late models, Ryan Tres did race there. Oh my God, miler, true rex still raises there to this day, and the number sixty nine models a number sixty nine. I'm actually Bro I raison. Then I'm changing my last name. Is True. I'M gonna BE KID tricks. I think a race there for number four hundred and twenty six. I had the chance to talk the tyler at the Atlantic City city this year before. Coolo wasn't think I talked him. We talked about he drives a sling shot like I used to, but for the Atlantic, for the indoor racist. So I taught I personally talk to them about it. He said he enjoys it, he loves it. And Yeah, I haven't really seen tiler that much this year. Want I've been the track. So Nice. All right, I guess. Guess. So, yeah, caden. So to my question. So, yeah, it's think of that on the fuck. Yeah, but Um, some one of them talked about it earlier. I was gonna say anything, but we talked about it earlier. Um, you like, all right, already know where this is going. Power. How did everything go after the pretty nasty net wreck about a year ago? Like F how was all the candling that afterwards? Okay, so to the guy, to the people who don't know, I had a serious crash back with this black cart that you see on the screen. I was leaving the race I was. I led my hear race. I was so the Baxer, but I came to the track. I was I ran really good that day. I was trying to figure out whereverhead I started sucking in my heat race. I jumped to the ball, to the lead coming into turn one on the first lab I let like the first two to three laps. I got past. I'm sorry, we got a caution that I got past and then we continue not to finish like three to fourth night or so. I was supposed to be seventh or eight, seventh or ninth. The handicapped me, which means they red the long Redo the lineup. For some reason they put me a second. I started second by term one. I did what I didn't hear ace. I got the lead, I pulled away. I let a pack of twenty five other cars, which scared the hell out of me because inside the cockpit I was shaking up. I was like what the Hell I let the first lap. I go off, turned to I see the yelolight. I'm like, why the hell does have to come out? Um, I don't know what I was thinking. I didn't not know how to restart because I had never really did. I never really led restarts. I was flying on the back straight at the way. I was doing well over pay speeds. That was doing probably a forty five when I was not supposed to once to did forty five. I got the guy my outside lost control and his back and kicked out. We both make contact, we both went to the wall and we in. The rest is history. I did have some minor injuries. I was okay. I was waving to walk away, but I was paying for good week. Other driver had his foot broken, I think, so he wasn't able to race after this for laughing, laughing with a broken so I feel so bad. He's a good guy, though. He did say you did claim for after that we did buy another car. Didn't start off well. We had a lot of eggson's the first race. I don't know what Kanan's doing. He's kind of scaring me. After after the first race, I backed out because I was I felt like I was too scared and I feel like I wasn't comfortable, and I didn't feel uncomfortable with this. I made the I made somehow made the I made the feature. I was somehow made the feature right, but I just backed out of it. So I gave someone else's ball. The second time I had one of my best friends come to the track and she saw me what Coralie. I felt bad because my see I was like back in the pack. So I was like to myself, okay, this is probably just me regatting my confidence and stuff, but my sheep felt I had a bad seat belt latch like the driver, like a few or short track driver, you have like one of those flash belts where it connects all your crotch bell your and your lap belt on your shoulder belts to connects it. That one bad. We changed the belts and we kept the enough thing, but break issues and we then around my first time I got my breaks back. I was able to finish the race. I start recognizing I was slow. I lost all my confidence in being. I felt the pressed for a while. I felt I wasn't just good enough anymore. I just tried my best and no matter what I did, no matter...

...what my dad, didn't matter what anybody else did for us, it just didn't want to go anywhere. When I went to Evergreen back in November, I was just saying to myself, well, this is one of the rasons where I'm going to try it, but I'm probably nothing, nothing's good to come out of it, which it didn't. So I think we finished. We finished someone in the back because of that we went the best to wish, which is so far my final start to looks like these things tired. So I'm good. It's like three in the morning where I'm from, actually forty five. You're not like hours ahead or behind. Kids. I feel like he's in east choice from the south. where he's from Texas. Y'All, hey, bro No, you, Hey, try troye southern accent. Hey, bro broke, I try. Can your idea? We're prying loose a little bit, a buddy. Any anyway, you sound like my sorry, just say well, anyway, we went. We want the best song I felt. I didn't feel confident myself. We go out there for first practice. We're immediately like top ten quick ass. I'm like, what is this? Where did this be come from? I go to my go to off for second practice. We're top ten quick ass again. I'm like, where did this come from? I go off from my hearings. I start six in my eat earth heat race. I go from six to five, the fourth, the third, moving on. We go to first. I want to hear as. I got my confidence back. I go to the feature I and that was he race one. I was supposed to start first. They did a readab they put me back to sex. I got so pissed I had to restart six. And this this is I was racing against Joe Graph Jr and his father, geograph senior, so it was kind of a big deal for me. Hi, that's pretty sick. Yeah, wait, well, I've been holding this question in for like five minutes while you were talking. So you're telling me you qualified for the race and then just left. I didn't leave. You just watch the race. He said. You know that the feature. Oh, you meet. Oh, okay, so the so, yeah, I basic qualified for the race, but to inside, I didn't feel confident. I because it was literally week after my wreck. So I just didn't feel confident. I took the and practice. The one of the spindles broke off. One of the spindles broke on, the ty rod broke. So I it was kind it was kind of a long day and I just didn't want I just didn't feel confident. I just said that as I didn't feel it's not that if a compliment. I confident, I just didn't feel comfortable. So I just watched it and I've made every start since then. But BETHEL, I start six, I go to seven. Th Start. We have a rack. We go to the back. We already have the refenders and I'll kick them back bumper and barely hanging from bumper because of it's kind of a chaos. If people want to go watch the video, go watch the VID that's on my youtube. Um, we go to the VAD Youtube. You Huh? Wi plenty youtube at the end. Oh yeah, also put in a link by whenever yet a load or whatever. It's already upload it's been up there since I'vember. Yeah, so we go to the back, we go it up. We get it to like twelve or something that I make contacted on the guy I reckon. I didn't need to. I go to the back again and I finished eight. Then I was proud of myself. I was really happy. My Dad was proud of me. I looked. That was probably my best races and since then and since that race, I've been sitting at home doing nothing. My cars going North Carolina, which was being fixed, by the way, if you did not know that car at that, if you D acte that black and blue car, it's now better looking than what it did last year. It's the hot mess. It sucks. Yes, that's ry. See you meant. You mentioned the time between the feature that you pulled out of and Breck, but like how long did I everything from the race that you just mentioned from the wreck? How long of a time span were looking at total between? Like did you miss any races afterwards? Eat, you keep you can't go on after the after I never. Okay, I know, maybe I never missed one race. Now worry, that race where I was supposed to start. I didn't miss yes, so after I pulled out of that race, we've met. We we raced every race, we made every race, we've gone through consolation races, we've made it through heat races, we made a few time trials. We made it. We made a lot...

...of races. But I was just I was thinking my averagemans is like twenty point something, because I was like running twenty every race. I had two good races where I finished fourteen to fifteen, but that was thanks to a lot of people wrecking out. So I felt slow and I didn't feel confident with my my car met in me. Yeah, yeah, I see, like you couldn't feel confident in the car because, like if there's like mechanical failure, then it like it could just get worse and it's like, well stuff. When I was going where, I was getting ready for Evergreen, I'll actually looked over the cart, the entire car by myself, like the body was on, everything was on. I looked at the entire car. From what I could see, I noticed the chassis was that. I've noticed something in the front end was knocked out. I've noticed a lot and that's where I was like saying, I think we found the issue why we're so loose and why we're so slow. It's not really because of the motor. I I could blame the motor. That's why we got to buy a new motor, but it was mostly because the chassis was so screwed up that we just were so loose, we were so inconsistent, we were all over the place. I got called a hazard towards the end of the season because I was so loose, because the difference between the fifty and the M Z are nine is that the Z or nine is about fifty to forty to fifty pounds lighter in the front end. So makes the front end so loose. Work kicks the back get out. So it was. It was weird. So when we gave the car to CJ, which is the owner of eight hundred and sixty, which is my current team right now. He looked at the car and check meter of a four chicker duty, which is the wall, which is the Big Wall Stadium racistore knows about. Yay, I'm going this year. Hopefully I'm going to be. I'M gonna be there year, this year, crewing on if I'm not racing, but I will be going this year. I'll be sixteen, so finally be allowed in the pits. All right, let's go, will you and me time? Yeah, took you long enough. You're so young. Coming from you. I like twenty six. What are you talking about? There it is. Yeah, keep buddy. One last question, I guess I have. Yeah, what's your favorite color? Space a question. Let me wait, wait, wait, let me get out, wait, let me guess. Let me guess blue. Yes, dark Lud to be exact. Let's go, W baby, it's whatever color the logos of the company that sponsors you. Is Good Answer. That's a good answer. You can see my car. You can see my car numbers, red, black, white, red and blue. I like, I got black, I got or what you want, Katana? The accident, all right, Chris. That's someone, but that's one I got. So where's what's the what's the short term goals right now in terms of moving up career? Wise, sponsors would be a big thing, but like, what's the short term goal beside spotsorship? We are I want to go into street stock racing for a year or two, which, if you don't know what's true stock racing, if I remember how you reckon, I'm getting into them because they're really fun and really Badass. And then after that I want to go into like Eska modified racing or any kind of the modified racing. I've really got into the modifies around two thousand and seventeen eighteen is and I've been kind of wanted the race modified since then. So I don't want to say I want to go to the Ryan Priest career, but I don't know. It may happen, who knows? I just want to drive a modified. If I drive a modify, my career is basically done. Hey, if you need to spotter, just know. Oh yeah, so if I ever might not be in a CRU chief, if you need a crew chief, right here. So if I ever spotting, yeah, if you need a gasp man, that'll be nick light, able to kill like eighty pounds of whatever it is. I'll do the tires. Oh Yeah, you want to carry modify tire. Good luck this thing. I'll be the crew chief. I'll just yellar. You're saying I'm not giving you our radio. Just I'm not. Don't eat. Just don't be like Jim Small, be like more like Copurn, you know. Oh my God, that's what twitter Col pone cold per, two thousand and seventeen MASCAR Cup series champion, crew chief, also host. Wait, will you, you ruin my moment, but exactly how we're think. I think it's a good note to end on. Whatever. We have to talk about Daytona. Oh God, Oh my God, that's a whole remember one pick for Daytona, cat and what's your...

...pick for Daytona? You can't move on the spot, Chrismusher. What's your what's your pick? What's your pictures? Hey, you, nick, Joseph cost that's my pick, Chris. Let's use your pick, Jones. Yeah, I gotta get from cold custer two ways. It is the rookie season makes it to the round of twelve. Sne Okay, okay, pal serious thick, my serious pick I have to go with. I want to say this is a fuck because super speed away. I have a strong feeling it's gonna probably meet. I have a feeling it's good to be one of the thunder funny teams. I want to say Michael mcdell, Sigh. Besides, Jimmy, if Jimmy just makes it, I'm fine with it. I don't give a shit. If you finished twenty two, three laps down, if you just makes it, I'm fine with that. If Byron just really wishing for a lot, blows an engine, then like, I'm fine. It is hendrics a Daytona. So I want to bet on anything lately with Damn. The only way, the only way both of them don't make it is, yeah, they both go out in Dibby and Eric Jones, just have you know, they just finish ahead of home. Basically, I want, I feel like mat the better that is going to win this Sunday. The hell. Benda data betterdetto has had speed, at stupid speed as I mean he was leading two thousand and eighteen night Aytona five hundred. Yeah, Yeahs was it two thousand thousand nineteen twenty five hundred? Yeah, what a you wone, like fifty laps. Yeah, he wants should be let it. Why? He led the most laps in that race. Yeah, that's like ninety five laps. I could see him when but like, I don't want to see him one. So I don't see him one. I mean basis the one race. I do not gonna lie, however, if you see might be better that Oo and Victory Lane The Sunday. Don't expect a lot of crying, because that may I kind of feel firm, though, because when I feel like I told myself and one of my friends as if I do one, I'm probably I'm gonna cry because they're not of work and stress that we're going on anything in my family right now with it. So Matt, to be doubt, was a good guy. He just eats suck. The say this, but he's this is this is a bad time open. Hopefully over a doesn't do good. Okay, Caryota Fan, I would. Yeah, no, but like, have you seen him? He had one good run out burst the last year and a few others. I mean he'd like a lot in the day. Told five one car he was in. He was in a Livine Family Christopher bettles top twenty and points right now. You do realize that the undo, you do realize the funding of that car over the past two years from Jagr has changed so much. That's all. Yeah, a Christopher Bells top twenty and points. All Rookies are top twenty and points. I don't know why you can't say okay, well, I meant I keep saying this, but three, that's big three, the one that we expected to do good, are all top twenty. Am what I was surprised about is that the experting to get like the guys. Those big three got so much hype going to the Cup series, but I feel like a none of them are performing as while as we thought we were. Besides I reddick, I think Reddy, seen coast and bell lately. CUSTER and battle have been consistently top fifteen threats recently. Yeah, nearly a hundred points on both of them. Yeah, we expected like them to be like top ten contenderous weekly. Really No, whenny I didn't expect them to be winning racist. That's what Fox to NBC. We're putting eyes. But they were like they were. We were expecting them was really do, really well and they really didn't live up to their club up too. Besides, really tired Aratic like read. I got a good run at home. Said right, I got a good run of Phoenix and he had a couples on the hours. Could runs. That's where I was thinking of saying Reddick could possibly get in his first career win, but then canuck out of nowhere. Tucky. Thank you, Jon US Joseph, for getting on, please, and spending your night, a while of your night, spending like an hour and a half. Sure, well, we change from three dirty because because nick.
