ABOUT THIS EPISODE

*Originally aired October 14, 2020*

In this episode we break down the events of this past weekends race along with a preview of Kansas and what’s to come in the playoffs for both the Xfinity Series and the Cup Series. Chris and Caden drop major hot takes near the end and Jay Mulder joins the show to briefly mention his WORC iRacing title and join the boys for the discussions.

Let the video go. They got got out. Break it out here to go. Gray pretty better, but about its little back drop way to work. We never find a good rock game plan at the work. That well films episode twelve nascarts about podcast. I'm Rost Troy John by Chris Caden and Jay. In today's episode we're going to go over many crazy, game changing, silly season stuff for two thousand and twenty one. We're going to go over the weekend at the Charlotte rovol which was his story in many different ways. So how is everyone doing? Fine, fine, coming off a championship. Yes, Jay, tell us how you brought the NASCAR hot spot truck to a championship. Well, I mean, so we started at the back and we're definitely the underdog. Like to be honest, going in there I thought we had no chance of wining it, but then they racked a few times up front and we just avoid those recks and manage to win the thing. So I mean, you take what you didn't get. What series? What serious was said that you were running in the work iris and series. So let's get into the big news. So we started out the the week last week with the big news of Justin Marksin's new team called track house. Team trackhouse at the has team Shock House Greg. Well, I say I think it's just track. I was straight up J yeah, so he started a new team, track house. Did driver will be Danius wars. It will be the number ninety nine Chevrolet sores as well, starting next season. He's driven in every single manufacturer and cope and he's only raised a coup two thousand and seventeen. Yeah, he's a modern day dude. I think this is a I think this is a good move for him. It's it seems like it's going to be better equipment than obviously what he's getting at gone brothers. With having an RCR affiliation. It'll be nice to see what he can do with an upgraded equipment and the fact that they do have a charger. Just to marks thinks that they can be a playoff team, which you know, you never know because of superspeedways, but I guess we'll just have to wait to find out to see how can all go. I have sores is running top thirty and thirty five place equipment. He can arguably run top twenty and points. I mean it's a new team, so I don't know what, I'm not going to have my expectations. IIE, but I think early goal is a tap twenty five and points. Yeah, I mean, in my opinion, I think it's a good place for him the land his feet because, I mean, he's been across several different teams the past few years and he is a chance to work with the team and build them up and build himself up and get back to where he was back in two thousand and sixteen. We Will Not Championship. Yeah, this is definitely a huge firm. You got the rcur lines that they're going to have, so it won't be like a hundred percent like an RCR car, but I'm predicting they'll run near rich pretty more sports, if not better. Honestly, thinks they can run better than Richard Petty motorsports, no matter who they put in that forty three car, except for, by any reason, it's Eric Jones. Yeah, if it's Eric Jones the forty three, you're out running. But if it's not, I expect so as far as to our run the forty three car. If it's there Jones, I expect him to be a playoff contender. Bubble is what top twenty of points the season. Yeah, yeah, feel flowed around twenty. Yeah, yeah, twenty, twenty. Yeah, Jones can definitely up the a a lot. Time only tell for that one.

I know mark said that he's got a couple of fortune five hundred companies looking into sponsor him. It's not finalized yet, but if that's the case, they have money back in them, so they'll be able to obviously run better than what we think they'd run. So back to running on far better than the forty three. Yeah, if you have money back in you, you cannot run them for sure. It's a Germain racing was it kind of replacement but also upgrade in the sense to so that'd be good to see. Yeah, sure they get the charter. It's a rumored no, it's not rumor anymore. They have but just fired charter yet. No, it was confirmed that they have A. They're leasing a charter from spire motor sports. So spire has three charters, leasing one to seeing one the track has and then they're going to have two in two thousand and twenty one. Well, over to team pensky and wood brothers racing, where they announced that Mac de Bededetto will raise for wood brothers racing in two thousand and twenty one, but not in two thousand and twenty two, as Austin Cinder will be racing full time for wood brows racing in two thousand and twenty two and for two thousand and twenty one he'll be racing full time ex affinity again for another year with pency and wool race for pency and Select Cup races in two thousand and twenty one. It's very for you to get all that out. That was a lot, that mouse mouthful there for you. Yeah, I mean, honestly, I don't think I was really surprised, yeah, by this announcement came out last week. I didn't think Sind Dick would become full time next year. I knew he would race something and cup next year, but I didn't think it'd be full time. And I think the Benedetto, I'm not a personally a de Benedetto Fan, but I think he definitely deserves one more year. I have my expectations a little bit higher for what he did this year. I mean he hasn't had a substantially good season, but I think I think he can make he's going to make the playoffs next year if he has a season like this season. But I don't I want to say to get another good top ride he's going to have to win next season. Oh, hands down he's gonna have to win. I don't want to say two minimum, but we could be looking at that. The only problem with that is we got the two thousand and twenty one schredule. Everyone's automatically going, oh, chase, chase is going to have four, five wins, but the thing is center's running part time. We know it's going to run road courses. Yeah, the DUDES gonna be insanely fast on them. And it's a penskey car. It's not like it's a you know, second would brothers car, that would brothers is building. No, it's fourth Pensky car. Yeah, it's going to be stupid fast. Yeah. So, I mean I expect chase Elliott to win maybe one or two road course races next year. I don't know if I expect singer to win running, but I do expect him to contend for wins. And like it's going to be your same road course players. I feel like I don't think we're going to have any when new except Austin Sandrac the upfront. BRISCO. Oh yeah, BRISCO. Yeah, that'll be a possibility, not announced, but let's be honest. Yeah, yeah, we can see road course ringers come back that maybe we haven't seen in a while because of new tracks in the series. Soldinger, almonddinger, we could even see him. You never know, especially Yep, that's where I was going with that. Yep, I love that. Go well, Dude. Dude can raise road courses that no other and he doesn't care...

...what he does for the win. I mean look at the to Watkins Glen Races. He has. Yeah, back to Mac the Matt, the BEDDETTO. Chris added that he would have to have one or two wins. I'm not denying that. I'm not saying that totally add the picture, but I think it mainly depends on what rides are open after two thousand and twenty one. The big thing about this, that I like about him resigning is that if they, if would brothers kicked them out after two thousand and twenty, then his options are pretty limited and and they're missing out on a good driver, a pretty good driver. So I feel like it's really fair for both Matt and World Brothers. Jesus do one more year together so we're brothers. Can have like that that year in between de Beddetto and Cindric, and then the bed Adetto can have one more year to improve on the team, learn more from the team and maybe get a even better ride in two thousand and twenty one. Yeah, I mean for de Benedetto. I can't after two thousand and twenty one, I can't think of any top rides that are going to be free. The one I can think of is maybe the twenty four. was that to two thousand and twenty two? Is that to two thousand and twenty one? I believe he's to two thousand and twenty two. He might even be a two thousand and twenty three. Yeah, I can't think of many big top rides that Benedetto could get after I mean, who knows, maybe some driver like randomly retires, like Kurd Bush. He said he doesn't know if he'll be back after next season, so that could be always an option. Arik Almeroll has signed for one need more year. Denny Hamlin's contract is rumored to be up at the end of two thousand and twenty one, so we never know. With that. Yeah, besides that, the ten and you know, the possible, the slim possibility of the eleven, would be the only upgrades from the twenty one, and I mean the ten. I'm not saying I'm roll is a bad driver. I don't personally like Alm Rolla. I feel like many other drivers could put go in that ten car and perform better than what alm role is. Not Bashing him, not saying he's doing terrible. I mean he still made the playoffs, which is good. He made the round of twelve, which is better than what thirty other drivers, so I mean twenty eight other drivers, depending on what you want to say. So I mean he's a good driver nonetheless, but I mean the Benedetto could possibly be that replacement for the ten. That's depending if Holm Rola doesn't get a resign we had to move on to Clint Boyer's going to be retaged the two thousand and twenty season. He is going to be going off into the Fox sports booth, of thing we have been dreaming about, not smart rays of tiring, but after he's retiring, going into a broad gays booth, because when he commentated Experti races, he was amazing. We always love this personality. We're gonna miss him on the track. There's not a single soul in the Oscar community who hates boy or for a legitimately good reason. Literally, Clem boys probably the has the best personality and all of NASCAR right now. That's no debating it. Boy is going to be saving the facts booth because we all know that that is horrific right now, especially with how Terrible Jeff Gordon is a trying to be exciting. Look at the is yeah, we thanks, we get it. Look at the is is, we're not gonna look at that. Boy is going to be like, Oh man, look at that. He's going to change up the wording but do enough to really gets entertaining for everyone. I've heard people say Boyer is too immature to be in the booth, but like, come on, fuck, booth is literally the most mature thing ever. They just need that...

...little bit of sweetness just to add it. It would be perfect. It's not going to be better than NBC, but it's going to it's gonna be close. It's going to be close. Um Boy're going in is taking that place of dw that we needed for facts and no he's not replacing don't know, but he's filling that void. Yeah, yeah, dw is what I don't think we, any of us, really realized how bad Fox was until we lost dw, because dw I didn't think he was dag good until, well, he retired and I was kind of like wow, this is like watching paint dry, like it just wasn't entertaining. It's kind of like watching a Michigan race. I think the only time that I actually heard excitement out of either one of them this year or out of Mike Joyer, Jeff Gordon was chased hanging out Ladanna know. Well, they raced north books for on I racing. That was just clint border there. That was straight up the only time that I like heard excitement out of both of them. They're both more excited about fake racing then we are raising. Why is that like what it's said, that the points out the problem too the same time? Yeah, yeah, well, so there's some more news. I don't know if we were going to talk about this. Eric Jones is apparently according after the race, he said he has a deal going to be finalized within the week or so. Yeah, I did hear something about that. Yeah, so he isn't gonna that doesn't mean he's going to be announcing it. No, yeah, he's not going to be analyze something finalized, which not which means he will not be left down the streets, which is good. I mean he's probably top three four younger drivers, I would say. I mean he's obviously behind chase. Chase is just on a whole nother level. He could be. What do you want me to say? The man has nine wins compared to next modes, which is for I think it's for and let's you have plenty luting Larson when he's got for Larson seven either run. No, yea, Larson's got seven. Yeah, I mean, I mean you argue chase right, two years he was like a minute, two thousand and sixteen, Orson was two thousand and fourteen. Yeah, you could argue here's his dog going to be happy. You could argue Jones is better than Blainey. No, you know, I mean to do something. I'm gonna do something right now. He's pulling up raising right from this point of actual stats, Bro where you leaving at the part that like, I will actually Jones and Blainey both times, like really, he did CRUCI love? Yeah, they've said both terrible. I think no, joanes is as much worse. Oh, I mean you can''t even deny that right read it kind of screwed over Jones this season this year, wrecked him at Pocono and then wrecked my Daytona. So definitely heard of yeah. Well, yeah, I literally killed it. He was only behind by like twenty. He would have made the playoffs and he had like a he didn't have a race winning speed up poking. I mean, obviously you didn't Harvard and Hamilond it, but he had like top ten spet, top five speed. So it would have been a good point today. But Tyler Reddit just my absolute favorite driver, just took him out. Are Camera, no air. I'm roll is my third favorite, behind chase Elliott Joey Lagano. Obviously know it's funny. There's actually guys little Chub on. There is some chance that both of them could make the final four and just ruin everything this season now. So, B I was not, I will cry for Lagano does. What do you mean? LAGANO's not? Look on has a better chance than chase Elliott. Jesus literally in it as of now. Were I get out of here. Look, Ono is...

...pwerful Jesus telling little road course. The final four races don't have any road courses in the WHOA who race. Literally, we're literally, literally too good at sneaking. We're literally he yeah, he's one Kansas. He's seeking almost from Martinsville. He's almost more times one Texas. Well, not want it, almost believe had he's had said top five piece at Texas and then go to the Texas. So it's a Harvech wins Texas, Ham one. I'm not going to put all my money on Hammond. You can't put all your eggs in one basket. Yeah, I don't know if's gonna win one of the final fight. Don't uses I think. I think I would make it an all points and then true X. I say got. I mean he doesn't have Barnesville in the bag, but I could definitely see. I'm definitely being up there having an insane points day. There's two people that have a shot against tricks at Martinsville. It Be Dooey am Brad, not joey. Not Joey. John Mean Joey's best shot is because can by Kansas. You Got Ya. You have harbark and Hamon, if Joey, you've Brad, you have trux, and I mean you could argue chase, but I don't see him like having I don't see winnings. So I mean you could argue taste. That's six drivers right there, and I mean bowmen and Kura. They could sneak in. They haven't been bad, butman's been the worst of the egg me bowling could win now, we could, but we could win Kansas. He's been good Arkansas. You couldn't heard this. Honestly, that's kind of like going to be an underrated race for him that people are overlooking for him, and I don't know why, because we saw Kurt finally have success at Las Vegas and punch his take it into the round of Eight. So anything happened. Dexfinity race at the Roll Boll was a race that seemed to never end, and it's somehow did in a wild fashion. So pretty much the first thing, five or so laps for like a pretty chill and then it started raining and the race would never be the same again. It was a cluster. It was a barn burner. It was it was a race that deserved be can behind the barn shot. Yeah, but that's what makes the Rovolt, especially when it rains, Robo still overrated. Fact Looks Fun in the rain, the better it better in vanity. Then I would not I would not want to be in that race. I would have loved it. Was One of those races were I would like to just quit. To be honest. It looked like they were having fun flying around out there once they got used to the wet track. I mean it got pretty good there the end. They're battling pretty hard. Yeah, I was. There wasn't so many radios, there wasn't so many puddles of water everywhere. It probably would have been dry. Would have liked it, but since there's too many puddles of water and he doesn't like have fun, he didn't like it. Facts and starts put ring tires on. No, Gregson leads. He takes off a little bit and then I'm not fifteen gregson spins and then chef staying. Those in the top ten also spins, and then the forty seven spins and then in ninety nine spins and then the sixty one hits the barrier and the forty one follows in. The five follows the forty four and sixty one and this creates a caution. That was like the turning point in the race where I feel like was like, Oh, this is going to be like a one hell of a crazy race. The mcgreen. I think it was a one lap shoot out, or like one or two up shoot out for the end the stage. KS GARRALA and need up winning stage. Yes, very underrated road course racer. I think that if he does not get...

...signed to like he's probably gonna get some but to thirty two. That's a rumor. If it is not, then showed you should have a third car for the road course of next year. Yeah, that'd be a smart move for them. Yeah, clearest day move. And if he gets a full time exfinity ride, no one's been talking about the calling cars. So that was an end of stage and GARLA won the stage and be go on and hurts is at the top five for some parent raiser because of strategy and he's racing with Gregson. He's trying to get pass Gregson and I feel like it was like a racing move. People were like oats payback. I feel like it was kind of like a racing deal. They're both in experienced drivers and rain and especially herbs, and experience driver in the rain and it's also right in experienced. Yeah, that ovals. Yeah, so he clips, he clips Gregson and Gregson goes into the barrier. Not a lot of huge damage, but that really killed his race. From overs that Gregson definitely could have won, but that killed his race. He had trouble going back to the front. Haley had, I feel, like the car to beat at that point after Gregson got a spun and then Haley crash it. I Fret whose fault was it? What happened? Haley crashes, he takes his car out of the race. It was too much damage. And and then we move on and we have a restart and on the restart Harrison Burton is around fifth or around there, five or seventh, around there, and he goes through the gears and I think he blews transmission to something around this car sitting sideways in the build the racetrack or visibility, and all follow long it was heres. All right there. Yeah, yeah, right therery. It either went into gear or jumped out of gear or he missed the gear. I can't really tell, but definitely some driveline. HEAH's there. Jeff tempt the transmission and he was in and he was one of the guys that came into the race fighting for a playoff spy and he was close on the Cup points out, but his cars part taken to the garage. It's terminal damage, of course, so it's not some bigger really repair and go out for. So that ends the twenty s twenty chances early in the playoffs, which which sucks, but we'll get to that. Didn't he have a white nick? Didn't you have a top five car? He was running up front. I know that. Yeah, he had a top five car once, like we got until I longer wrong. A long run is like five hung runs, five laps. I'm looking at I love look at the caution like because, like on racing references like number of laps for each screen flag run. Three thirty eight four, three two, four, six, one two one two two two, one seven, one hundred and ten, one three two two. Ten laughs. Ten laughs is the longest. Was the longest one and like behind that was seven laps and then behind that was six. It's WID sticking. Yeah, it was like ten eight, seven, six and it was like three two two two, one hundred and three. If it. If you didn't, if you didn't watch six finity race to you miss like a pretty it was a pretty cool race, but it, who's a race is, seemed to never end. So, yeah, I feel like stay a long yea. And then Bristo one. Yeah, brist show one, stage two, everything else, like how does he go? I think BRISCO pretty much, I dominates the rat not that money, it's but like he leads it. It's mostly between almondigger and Briscoe. BRISCO leads fifteen street laps from three thousand and six to fifty, and then alminigger takes it, risco takes...

...it, and this is like as the race goes on. And then with two to go, or near to to go, Brandon Brown crashes and he had he he was a little bit of a long shot, but if someone crashes out, that was crashed out. Besides him, he could have made the playoffs, the next round of playoffs, which is weird. But he makes mistake. I think it was just made a mistake into the grass off the corner and it killed this car. We saw a lot of drivers missed the chicane that day, didn't we? Was that? Was that the Car Right Cup Race Oh, here's twice. Harrison bird missed it twice. HMM, and I'll see that. Yeah, it was like it was like a lake on the dumbish front cane its. Briscoe leads the restart and the final restart. Surprising. It was a final one, BRISCO least, the final restart and going out of turned one and a very mining in a spot and a spot that many, many guys and a spot that many guys made mistakes in. The spawn themselves out in PRESCO, just going for the wind, trying too hard on it. Spun Out Chrisco, a lot better start for chase BRISCO but here comes a sixteen again, AJ almandigger with the crank around. He's trying too hard. He hit a puddle of water, just spun around. Yeah, yeah, freaking late, Dude. Yeah, yeah, how do it been like this deep point and went on why I do not like the race ors lakes everywhere. He spins, pretty much giving almondger the wind. FIGGER, the gap is cold. The rears the sixteen Aj almandigger will wait at the Shortlotte rod hole and I think the gods there was no caution after that one second Gregson, like we really Greg Yeah, yeah, baby us. I want to see Leabay in that ninety eight next season. I want it. Imagine that, bro He could win. I would say he would win one race at least. Dude's friends. Thirty six. Yeah, what temn? What seem does he drive for? Yeah, just go through little finishers. Leveay, for through, gone over cody wear a rick. We're racing. Got Seven, which is huge. It's not a day top ten that I'm not even look at it because I already I already get his already. Could assume that one. That jade, jade, Beauford and o seven. He he finishes eight, and then Jeffer and heart with eleven, which is pretty good. Everything was pretty like self exploratory is I think this. I think the ones to note of the playoff drivers were obviously brisco because he spun, and then Ryan See finished twenty one. I don't know if anything happened to him. Did something definitely happened. Yeah, he's he spun an he hit. I think. Yeah, okay. Wellbay actually probably would have won that race before he spun and hit the wall and then still finished fourth. He Spun it at the wall late. All I remember seeing a clip of that. Yeah, and he was like chasing down the leader. He was like in second to how about? How about Austin Cinder Gar race? What App what happened to him? A race? Where was he...

...raised? Oh, I didn't see it. Guy, and a guy that most got that. Most people look for the Wayne and dominate the race. He was back end of the top ten all day. Night he was topping and he was barely. He was barely. I don't remember even a point that he was batting for a lead or battling up front. He finished. He was UN facial day. That was it. Yeah, he wasn't very notable at all. Yeah, he was the onmitigger and Brith go show. Yeah, like all the road courses, it seems like the role full at Charlotte's, like the one road course he can be a factor at, like all three years. Yeah, I don't remember him a lot. I mean he wasn't really insane road course ringer last year, but he was pretty good. I remember that one. He won to one, one, two or three of the road course versus last yeah, I thought he only wanted on. I think. Yeah, as definitely surprising to see cyndric struggle most of the day especially especially in the rain. Many people were like, oh, rain, Syndric is definitely got some way of and vantage or something over the field. No, I so struggled. Yeah, finished third both years prior when are you wasn't top to. I knew he wasn't top to either. One for Jerry's got eliminated the round riots. Is he rest you, Riley hurbs tride? Yeah, I thought he was gonna wait for a while. But even when he was like up front on the strategy, even when he was out front a strategy and his like top five, like he's not witness. I it wasn't even like a thing. My mine world's like, what if he wins this anyway, like I'd be silly. I think it would have showed up to Michael neckts eliminated Michael nket's elimited Brandon Brown and hairs and Burns problems in the race. Takes Fre Maga switch show sucks. I mean he should have arguably made their out of it. Over Ryan S, a family team, beat to JD are cars to make the round of a troy. What are your feelings on that? It wasn't even close to it wasn't even Clo yeah, exactly except the one jd are car Brandon Jones yet repressed first I got eliminated. But we're talking about jd are. No, we're talking about Ryan seek beating to Jg ore cars. Yeah, Harrison burden is one of them. Yeah, who had him in the final four? Try, Oh, here's I had them in the fund. Should I want with the other coils into the playoffs? Now we will decide to find out for so up top is chase bruscoe, plus thirty seven. He's pretty much are lock, unless he chokes, of course. Everything it's two thousand and twenty. Same with Austin Cindric. I feel like he's still a lock, even though he's plus twenty seven. And then just an Auguy or no Gregson there plus ten and plus two. Not Safe at all. They got to work for they gotta they got a maintain this positions that they have in defend from the dark horse, Justin Haley, who is minus too now, bull cut line and Brindon Jones, who iss five, Russa stain, Russia stain, and Ryan Se are the ones that I feel like need to win. They can't they yeah, I on points. Ross Stains Fifteen and Ryan SSS twenty three. They need they need to win to get into the final four. They're too far back to depend on points and race their way and frostby.

Yeah, and with everyone that they're racing the racing chase. BRISCON, Austin, cindric. We're going to be consistently up front and probably almost likely make the championship, for it's like almost basically confirmed that they'll make the championship for how good they run. And everyone else that chat stain has to battle is Gregson, Jones. Who Else is? They're Justin Al Gre Haley. I don't think. I don't think Haley will be a factor this round, to be honest. I think he'll finish. I think I'll finish maybe six and points. I I think you'll be a factor, but you won't be like someone like. I feel like. I like the guys below. Right now. I think Jones is the main guy. That Cindre, not that all guy, Gregson. He's to really worried about the fence. Yeah, like, of course Jones has two and a row now at Kansas. He has worst room Texas. He's pretty good at mount half. Yeah, then there's that one race. There's one race that they and then young Marnsville are one mill baby did while, let's be honest, cut be hoest. Don't even stay big wild card. He's gonna be Chase Briscoe who wins it. Let's be honest, we all know that. Jay, you want to start, since you our guests. Yeah, sure, Um, bristow and cindric are going to be a lock for me, of course, and then I mean all guard Gregson, Haley, Jones, trust and like. Those guys are gonna fight it out. But I think Gregson and Haley will get in. Haley's kind of dark chorse to me. But I think not. Aur No, I think I'll get like you might struggle, you might have a bad race, but I think Justin Haley could get luckier and move on. It's a really close cut line. So obviously just near these most lucky driver. I mean in the exfinity theories. But yeah, Bristow, cyndric, Gregson and Hayley. Gregson's during Phoenix. But we'll see. He's got to get there first. It's as I get there for yeah, he's gotta not make any need dumb mistakes. I'll go next. You know who's also get our Kansas Brandon Jones. Brandon Jones, went bansles go to that championship for and then it'll be Sindri can BRISCO. I think they're almost locks and I've been tossing and turned. I've been losing sleep over this. Who's going to be the final driver to make the championship? For? It's almost no contest. It's going to be just now guy, I think. I think Noah Gregson. He's not a bad driver, I think he's just over aggress no, I think he'll try to push the issue a little too hard to the point where he maybe makes the mistake your rex and I'll kill him, just Nellie, if he runs out of luck, which he probably will. I mean, no, he won't. He won't run another look. But I mean it's just Haley. Unless he wins with the leaders, the top two leaders wrecking, he's not going to win. So just Haley won't make it. Ross Shastain, if he had more playoff points and bonus points in one races, I would definitely put him in the championship for but with the hole he has to get through and the driver's he has to beat, I don't see it happening. And then Ryan seeg stuff. Explanatory. No, all you want to go over me, I go over quick Syndric Frisco as a lot or lock Brandon Junes in as third driver, and then I'm going to have just an allguyer and as the fourth driver. Um, I think similar, such a similar thing, is what Cayden said and I feel like I guys experience. Well, take them there. Yeah, then Drick Briscoe, Jones, easy, three easy locks. Honestly, Jones will, I like to point his way, or he'll win Kansas. One of the two. The fourth one, I think, is honestly a tossup between all guy and chastain,...

...because I feel like chat stains going to be aggressive at Martinsville because he's going to Porture holdly it's a short track and chat stain's gonna play that to his favor all day long. I want to say all guyer, as a junior motor sports fan, if chast stain doesn't win the race, all guys gonna be in the final four. Yeah, exactly. If chest, yeah, chastain, doesn't win, he has two little bone. How many stage wins is you have? An obviously like to. He does to exactly. I mean he's the most consistent driver. Yeah, but he's got to stage wins. It's not going to get you to the final four. Now with this point is that if he wants Martinsville, yes, he'll be final four, if not always. Yeah, it's a long yeah, but that's the only way. Yeah, happening. Yeah, I she should had so should we ad into cup? Yeah, let's let's move. Grew up in the cup. So the couplers started out in a historic fashion at first. It was the first coupers and history to use rain tires during a race. It was the First Cup race to race in the rain since the s and the the start of the race it was deemed not dry enough to start in slicks, so everyone started on wet and that set up for a fun a fun couple starting laps because one of course everyone does not know what their cars capable of, how fast as how it handles to. Most of the field has a time bit of rain experience, but like nothing like to share the roval. Nothing like they're going to experience and the cup cars and everything. It was a very interesting start and I think the one key guy that we all will point out is tie down at the Star I don't know where he started, but he drove himself up. Drove himself up in the first ten laps, I think it was, to top five, which was very cool to see. I like I like underdogs over achieving, especially since it's a team that's going out soon. It was cool to see tail on when the stage and I see Christopher bellby competitive in the first couple is pages. It was cool to see that happening their career stage one. Yeah, a pod we had was last there. No Day Gun burs, no brist Birstal, he but he beat out boyer and like a photo finish. Yeah, yeah, it's nice to see that happen, especially yea so that hasn't had that success. After the COMP caution, which is on like lap ten, everyone came in and kept their wet tires on, but tie Dylan, tie down steam and a couple others made a very interesting move that. In the beginning of the restar everyone was like this move does not work out and tie dial and immediately fell back. But as everything guy into it and tie out a rhythm. He was four seconds faster than the entire field and he move his way up to the front the long there's a long runt the end of Stage one and most guys to not know if their rain tire, since it check was getting dryer, would hold up to an end of the stage. As if you don't know, rain tires on a dry, a dry surface, just it kills them. They just die really quickly. It's really hard to save them. So tie down was like easy going through the field, no worries...

...once his car hooked up. But guys like Boyer Um boy was the main the one that risked it, since he was leading most of the time, tied and passed them and everything, and they were just hanging off for dear life until I think John Her name check. Yeah, Johnny name of check spun. We got our weekly John a crossing. We Click weekly. John Hunter, caution, back at it. Remember when everyone said it was like the very start of the season. John Honor, he's gonna O in rookie of the year. He's run in top ten every rays. Oh my God he so this set up for a one lamp shootout to end in Stage one, where are mostly guys pit, and we had a lot of risky guys besides tight Dylan, who's leading, that stayed out. And this this top ten was that one? Know, crazy top ten. Besides the Gohanna, who's the only playoff driver to score points. Of Stage one, we had ti Dalan, Christopher Bill, Matt to Beddetto, William Byron, Timmy hit Sibi Hill. He's trash. You can on. We went on. I racing. Explain the seventh place. They're boys, good place, fit one, two is five. Yeah, he's go man. Absolutely take over the eighteen after Kyle Bush this season. That was just crash. I'll Bush is trash. I couldn't even make the round of eight or rookie numbers. That to me it was Ryan Newman, Blaney, lukano's only puft jar the stage, the get points the stage and then a Bubba and Air Jones. We Restart Stage two and this is when Stage one was really good. It was entertaining for me, but stage two is when like things started like to get in. There's no thing about different tires. There was none of that. It was kind of like a normal ro will race. Wasn't many incidents. I can't remember like any like huge spins or any of their guys make a mistakes that did not bring out of caution. Do One stage to Blaney. I want to say, Oh yeah, blank it's a stage two buyer and leads most of it and then Blaney takes the lead and leads the rest. I think there was a groom I checker or something to end the stage, but either way, Blaine was stage stage two will deserve. And then stage three, Clinton Boyer takes the lead. He leads for lap at the beginning of Stage three and then a blany sleep back leads two APPS. So we go later in the race. Ryan priests, another team, well not team as a whole, but thirty seven team is rumored to be shutting down at the end of season. Not a fish is no, it's not official, but there are rumors that I didn't even hear them. There won't be a thirty seven. Surprised, but Ryan. But Ryan priests, I believe he took the lead in a restart and he it wasn't really like he was hold them, holding up the pack if you like, like he he is holding off. Who Was it? A Bowman? Bowman, Lagano, Chase Bush, I think. I mean he was still running pretty fast lap times. I know that he was running. I mean I'm pretty fast. He's running decent lap times. To the point where he even was still top five. I mean once he lost the lead, he kind of faded pretty fast, but mean he wasn't horribly slow. Held he had eight laughs, which was pretty good. Then Bowman. Bowman took the lead for a little bit and then Shase Elli got the lead and once she's Ellie drove up behind Bowman and...

...pretty much past them no problem. I think that's when we noticed this guy is pretty much like the fastest right now and it's going to be hard to beat him now, this late in the verse, especially the costume comes out for it. Why wydcustion bring? Was it a Bresh bring? Yeah, there is de brillant piece. Yeah, Oh, Kyle Bush, he's running top five with a car that is used up. He's he already had a bad day, but he was. It was racey. You was. Are Right? I mean I don't think. I don't think it was. It wasn't chased Elliot level, but if he had the right restart he could have easily taken a lead. Top Top six, college five, I'd say, top five, but not winning. No, he didn't have any like winning. Never know, came down to a two lap shoot. Oh, he would have done anything. He would a wreck chase. Interest team decides to stay out on the cause. You wall literally everyone else pits. Pattie Petty, Petty Petty. I think he expected other people to stay out and go for the win. I don't think he expected everyone to come down play would him in the ASS. So yeah, that the stream was killed his race. We go on the restore and Bush takes the lead, but only for I think two laps, two for Eric Jones actually passes him. You want to go to Eric Jones Rant, I think he took leaf for one lapping going there junes. Right quickly, Caden all, he deserves so much appreciation. I mean he in the equipment he has, he should be winning races. But if you take a step back and look at what he has done, he's he's been pretty impressive. He's been one of the more impressive younger drivers. He has. He has no offense, but he has a terrible crow chief, like one of the worst in the garage, and I mean in like I said, in the playoffs. He has only finished outside the top ten once and that was at Richmond. He he won tallent Egga. I'm going to keep saying that because he did one in Salad Egg. Yeah, he finished like top ten vegas. He he finished third at Bristol and he was actually catching the leaders coming down to the last couple laughs. He finished third year, which is insane. He's finished well at every track. But I'm not going to Bash Kylrson, but if Hendrick is looking at Larson more than they're looking at Jones, if it comes down to money, I would say maybe Larson. But I think Talon Wise, Eric Jones is arguably as good as Larson. Arson has been slow. Two Thousand and eighteen. Sucks for Larson. He had speed, but he sucked for Larson and everyone's going to go to the old Kyle Larson has terrible equipment. No CGR is pretty good. Kurtbush made the round of eate this year. Case closed. So I mean that's what I say. I think Eric Jones needs a lot more appreciation and he needs a lot more a precie eighth and because he's going to go to that eighty. That was so cringe right there at the Y, so so bad. We're gonna move on there. So ownslood one lapper than chase took the lead, le led the last laps chase basically said hi, how are you? I'm going to go win this now. Okay, yeah, that's about what happens. That's all that happened. PUSH ENDED UP SPINNING AUSTIN DYLAN. Austin dill wasn't gonna like be winning the NYTHING. Are Getting a good finish. Still Sucks for a like his is playoffs, how good they've been, just to go out like that, getting caught up. The NBC said of Stat that like kind of blew on mine and it kind of shows dying as road curs raiser. His best finish on road course and...

...the entire career is fifteen, which is which is really created. I'd so CH's one, it was, is a fourth row course win in a row after walkins going last year over last year, this year's they toned a road course and finally the Roll Woll for road course wins in a row. Chase Elliot's gonna do it again at the roll bol this year. So that ties them with Jeff Gordon. With Jeff Gordon still has the six in a row from ninety seven to foot thousand on road courses. So she's got to work a little bit next year, especially at circuit the America's Y. Like grant about kyle real quick, after all the highlights. I saw gay ran a bat them. Then we'll talk about the puns. All right, Kyle Bush, this weekend, man's dude was bouncing off of everyone the entire damn race, like I don't remember which restarted was, but I know he hit bounced off of four different guys and then he completely annihilates. Not a Nihilis he? He just runs into the back of Austin Dylan like you should like. He didn't even try to not watch for him. I knew going into this race he was gonna have a bad race and he just backed it up with his performance like it was just it was sad but at the same time just horrible to watch it. Did we imagine how true X and Kurts? But on the final out I was getting so happy. I'm like yeah, another third place finished for sure, and then the camera points a true acts and he's spinning around with Kurt Bullsh my. Oh, so during tricks is into be pretty much said that like Kerr and him side by side and trix thought. I think the Kurd back out of something and once the entered or we're going into the dish. You Cane. He noticed that, like you, he wasn't going to make it the two and we're going to make it, and tricks like tried to back out of him and stuff like that. But it was too late and Kerr and Shrek spun. Kurt still maintained fourth, but tricks for back to seven seventh. The four drivers were eliminated after this race. Most notable, everyone has heard it. Kyle Bush, the finish series champion, eliminated from the playoffs along with Austin Dylan. Clint brewer was close to lost power steering with like thirty five to go and he drove his butt off the top ten. But he had a winning he had a winning car and it's heartbreaking for him. But the eliminated an Eric Im roll team. The team even said it that the round a twelve, the way it was set up, with how the races were, that the team was going to struggle and if they could just make it passed around a twelve very unlikely, but if they could just make it past, then like the round of eight would be like very strong for him. Either way, Eric got eliminated, which is pretty much predictable. So that leaves eight drivers and I hate the playoffs. Y'All know that. But the round of eight I love it because it's no it's no BS, like like Austin Illan advancing. That wasn't bs, but like there's no leg drivers that did nothing all season and are now in it. The round of a are the best all season, the ones who have worked there, brought off, the ones who have raced their way into this. Pretty much they're not competing for in front of four spots. It's really close. No matter the points difference count nobody out. So Kevin Harrich pretty much a lock. Everyone knows that. You Know Texas. He's won the last two fall races there two or three, four, three,...

...two thousand, one thousand and eighteen and two thousand and seventeen. Wasn't twenty and eighteen and dumber though. Yeah, but he's still got the win because I still got the wind. That was before the Road Danq right Martinsville, Barnsley Straw the season. But I mean it's not going to hurt him huge if he'd like gets top fifteen there where the Kansas, Um Kansas, of course, small and half. He could do really well there. Denny Hamlon he won Kansas or this year, I'm pretty sure. Yeah, and he won Kansas to fall. Kansas res last year too, and then Martinsville. He's really good there. And then Texas again pretty good. They're W W Texas or this year was a hammer dylan retard and made this round of it. He would have definitely made that championship, for he would have won Texas. allays so hard with shit out everyone. So harvark is p forty five and Danny has P thirty two. We learned that. Whatever happens, then you can start choke it easily, like last year he saved himself by winning Phoenix. Yeah. So third is Brad Kissed Lousy. We can go over it. He he's really good at Martinsville. He's been really good there recently. Texas. He's been decent. At Kansas. He won that last year with the same package to do good there. He's plus thirteen. Pretty good cushion but not huge. Definitely no mistakes. She Salli is birthdays get really close. That fourth spot he's got to play really good defense. It's through here now. He said top five speed at Texas. At points he has. He's had winning speed and almost one a few versus of Martinsville, of course, and Kansas. You almost won last year and both you almost were both for his last year. Honestly, he won two thousand and eighteen. Yeah, you want to as an ike forgetting one, twos eighteen. So he's plus five, without a doubt. He is not safe. He's got a definitely like beyond his game. Joey Lagano is one to watch out for. You never know when he's going to going to get hotly into season. So Kansas is pretty good at it. With the fake package, he's like pretty good there. MARNS fill he's top five rare and Texas he isn't bad there either. So he is five. Bluetocut line and trix on back is where Um points are really useful. But also a win is not recommended, but the easy way, it's a way easier way did in. So tricks is ten. He's good at all three tracks. You won a Marksviell, of course, over the season. He's won at Kansas before and he's at a couple close ones to Texas that he's almost one. Alex Bowman's nineteen is eighteen. My Bad, he dad. He's thinking with dead I don't know if but to die too. So Alex Bowman is mine eighteen. I feel like he's in his zone where he's gonna win it. He's gonna win a race if he wants made to the final four. And I honestly don't think he be capable. I don't think he's like in capable winning, but it's very likely when it front of watch him go win Kansas this weekend.

I'm not counting go in Cana, Texas and our sweeps around, sweep. You know he's gonna win the next four races and ruin the whole entire season. Now I won the next three and then finished fourth in the championships and the like. Do you know that? Something like that? Actually, it was won there in two thousand and sixteen. Yeah, this first race out, man, I got this. So I got let's let's spend kinzas. Kansas. Didn't even was one Kansas, I think. Yeah, two thousand nineteen, second last year. Yeah, yeah, he almost won twenty last day. Right. He went like sis, like three in a row Texas. I remember at top ten speed last year in Texas and Spring Race Martin's. So He's a pretty good short chuck racer, but these tracks definitely are not like his greatest but if it makes the fun of for Phoenix is one who was better tracks. So don't kind them out Phoenix, if he makes it, which is kind of likely. And Kurt Bush. He got into the round of eight with a win, and I'm not saying like he shouldn't been there, unavay, but he is not made enough points. Of course he's not been that strong as everyone else. So he a he enters the round of eight twenty one, which pretty much a wind zone. Unless a lot of people, a lot of guys struggle, we're he just breaks down somehow wins it. A lot they he he's in it. Well, he's got a win. Pretty much he's do we want to talk about big from? Yeah, let's do the race. Yes, give a final four. He's all right. Fall for Harve a Camon. I mean you can't tell him out unless they rack all three races. There something dumb happens. But HARVEC Hamlon and then I think Brad, thank you, gets in third and Elliott will take that for the spot. So raised they are right now, I think is how it will end up being. Chase, Elliott good, all three tracks. I think you'll advance easily, whether you wins or on points. I think you'll have a good run and because a lotstee he's good at Martinsville and he's decent at those Mile House so and then Hamma and hard there did it, except harve. It isn't rant Martinsville, but harvech he's got such a big point Tushan that I think he's easily and so those are mackey. I've got next. So Harvvi, get Denny Hamlin. I don't think I'm thinking. You explain those. The pretty must locked in there my and then find through spots broadcast last year. Thing. He's going to make it. He's good all three two tracks and he's gonna make it. Martin tricks junior is going to be the fourth spot. I feel like that. He's good all through the tracks that I think I'll just hit something where he'll be ahead of chase and the Guano and everyone else. I'll accept the top there. Of course. Chris, you want to go? Yeah, sure, all right, I'm going to please both of Youtube. I'm gonna put Harvek Elliott, direx cool I. Originally I had hamling in, but man's is a choke job waiting to happen. Brand's gonna make the final four fold prediction. Wow, well, Chris, take a Carlos, dude. You are here first, folks, but no, you're but here at two times. I don't think Ammah makes the final four, I don't seem I think Harvic makes a championship, for I think that's easy. I think true x wins one of the races, whether it be Kansas, Texas, Sir Marnesville,...

I don't know. I think because Laski makes it. And I think this final spot will be between hamling, Lugano and Chase. I was originally going to say Lagano because I know how Lagama is. He's quiet but he can sneak in. Like last year, no one saw him making the championship, for in all sudden he's there. He was going to make him told any Hamma one and he fell back to like twenty and the final race. But so I was going to go to Lugano. Hamlin, I totally would. He has so many bonus points that he he could physically just not have a couple good races but still maybe make it in by a couple. But, like I've said before, don't put all your eggs into one basket. I don't like Chase Elliott, but if I'm being complete lately honest, I see him making that final four over daddy an one meakers have the exact same list. I don't see handle making that final four. I I like him. I want him to win the championship, I really do. I like him. He deserves the championship, but his team just the cookie crumbles when it's not the right time. I think he doesn't make the final four. And Kurt, Kurt, that's pretty self explanatory. Bowman will make it. Lugano, I don't think he'll make it, but he'll have a shot. Definitely him and him and chase will be separated by like four points. Oh yeah, yeah, that's what's going to come down to. That's it. I thought I'd me the lone will. I don't see handle make it it. Yeah, and what and what you started talking about. I was like, Oh wow, I'm really about to say the exact same list picks for Kansas. WHO'S gonna win? He's gonna win. Jay, you start. We're going in exactly what thing just did it. Yeah, it's talk. It's definitely talkters a lot of these guys could win in the package and the package of course, the biggest wild guard. Hum. I don't know. I think probably ham one. He won there in the spring and he's it's either him or Harvick in this package all the time, so I think him one gets it down the this weekend. Troy OHO'S gonna win. I'M gonna say, Alex Bohmer, you didn't have a making your championship for the first time the whole playoffs. I'M gonna go with a non playoff driver winning the race. I think Eric Jones. HMM, I think. I think he's had so much momento and this isn't me picking him purely for the win. This is me pick him because I think he has the momentum to back him up where he has the confidence that I think he can win. I mean he's been I remember spring race last year he finished like third and he had a race winning car all race and it was just I know he's good there. I just want to see him break through and get that win. I'm going to take tricks, I just smile and a half package finished third there earlier this year. Yeah, I just he's gonna spot. He's going to need to grab suck Danny Hamilon, and now I'm just back my cell phone. I'M gonna agree. I'M gonna agree with you. I think Danny Hamilon just does not hit all right. There's always that one race that he just decides. You know what, I haven't spun in Twenty eight races. Let's just do it now and that'll be this series. Jewel Laguna, I just see him. I just seem just being off. All right, Jake, who you got? I don't know. Call Bush. He's not very good...

...at dances. He did well in the spring, but he's normally not very good and now he's doing nothing to raise fans. is going to wreck trying to win the race. He'll problems, gonna wreck Danny Hamlem. I would lose it if that happens. We'd have to come back. This clip, the clip of you and I saying that hamlet's gonna suck. That's the intro to the next episode. Yeah, yeah, yeah, if Daddy hamlet as so much as MRS finishing top ten, I want the intro to be Danny Hammon's going to suck. Boom. That's it. Thank you for watching and making this far into podcast.
